Are you starting your workday running on empty, or are you filling your own cup first?

In this short personal talk, the speaker shares his morning routine designed to start the workday feeling energized and purposeful. He begins with quiet, solitary time in a recliner, where he journals about his gratitudes, identifies what matters to him, and sets an intention for how he wants to show up. He then moves into a dedicated movement segment he calls “Vitamin M” (Vitamin Movement), typically a mindful practice such as yoga, to physically awaken his body. He explains that these practices enable him to wake up as early as 5 am and be ready for an 8 am call, emphasizing that while the full routine may not be realistic for everyone, smaller habits—like brief journaling, listening to music, or reconnecting with one’s purpose—can provide a similar sense of being “filled up” before work begins.
