A short YouTube podcast clip in which two speakers (SPEAKER A and SPEAKER B) discuss rethinking productivity through the lens of wholeness and mindful leadership. They contrast metric-focused measures (keystrokes, calls, emails, slides) with productivity that arises from presence, creating space, and allowing solutions to come rather than pushing.

In light of eternity, productivity is at its best useful at times. But again, in light of that wholeness, it's relatively small.
Productivity only measured as number of keystrokes on a computer now, or how many calls did I do or how many emails did I write and how many memos or how many PowerPoint pages.
I can be very productive. But it's always that combination of productivity from a place of being. I can spend quite a lot of time not doing anything but really taking in the system and really letting this whole system move through me and being puzzled by the contradictions, being puzzled by the fragmentation, sitting with it, dreaming about it. And then all of a sudden I can be very productive.
I think that's possible for you too, and it for your organizations. But you have to learn to stop and create space.
That's how I learned to work with productivity. And again I see that more and more. If leaders can let the solutions come to them or that the help come to them instead of pushing through, it's so magical.
