A short promotional/business clip explaining how to build a robust business case for workplace wellbeing initiatives by framing benefits with measurable risk reductions. The speaker outlines a four-part risk framework—medical claims reduction, improved retention, lower absenteeism, and measurable productivity gains—and gives examples (call centers, IT shops) where productivity impacts can be tracked.

If you want to tap into the full power of flourishing and make it a competitive edge, you have to first start by building a robust business case that truly inspires and captures the imagination of the executives and managers in your organization. Now, well being initiatives don't have to be soft in terms of the benefits. There are some really hard measures that we can use to capture the impact from these and I love this acronym and this is an acronym I picked up from my conversation with Ali Khan. This is around four types of risks that he calls crap crap. So so think about how your wellbeing initiatives are reducing your medical claims both for mental health and physical health. Second is think about the effect of the well being initiatives on reducing attrition, the R so it increases retention. Third, think about quantifying the effect and loss in productivity that you get from absenteeism. And fourth, see if you can measure the productivity benefits that you are actually getting from your investments. Now the fourth might be the hardest in many areas, but if you run a call center or if you run an IT shop, you might be able to come up with ways actually measure productivity of your teams as they focus on integrating the well being initiatives into how they work.
