Ashish Kothari explains why work reactions feel disproportionate to the moment: you're operating from an unconscious, wounded place. He outlines practices to build self-regulation and awareness so you can shift to a conscious healing path instead.

I've spent a lot of time talking about what I call the unconscious, wounded career path, which is the path of being completely disconnected from your experiences when you were little to how you were showing up at work. And one other symptom to know if this is affecting you is that your reactions to things at work seem much bigger than the moment. And I love I want to learn more about your programs on the habits, because I'm sure there are habits that I could be embedding in the work that I'm doing. But what I do is I teach people how to step off that unconscious, wounded career path onto the conscious healing career path, and that there is a method to be able to do that. There are practices that you can do to learn how to self regulate, to learn how to understand what's going on.
