I learned to be more self aware and accepting of how I feel without judging it. It's the hardest thing to do because I'm my own worst critic. Like many of us are. People who are listening into this are their own worst critic. But days where I'm feeling a little blue or feeling a little. I'm running out of steam or I'm unhappy with someone or something, instead of judging, I let that sink in. And then I figure out should I do something? And how. It's not always perfect because I told you about a co worker who keeps me centered. So every now and then I also react. But mostly I reflect. And it's okay to be down. And I think it is so important because most people. I want folks to think about this. Most people either numb the emotion or they act it out. But what you're talking about is the middle part. Acceptance and just being with. I don't have to act it. I'm feeling this way. I know it's not going to last forever, but I also want to be able to make it an object. Why do I feel this way? What is my role in it? What is another role in it? So you can find the answer in a lot more clearly thinking fashion versus under the shadow of that emotion.
