What happened is because I couldn't speak, I couldn't understand, I couldn't express myself. You very, very quickly feel completely isolated and alone. But it became a motivating force for me to learn the language. And the beauty, which is what I teach to people today is that as I developed my communication skills, as I learned to express myself, as I learned to understand what people were saying, well, the magic of communication took place because communication is always relationship. You have to realize that as a person, as a leader, you are going to affect the people around you in a very real way. And I'm sure we've all had this. We've all worked with a boss who was really not great, in some cases was terrible. And it affects us. It affects our health, it affects our home life, it affects the way we interact with our children, and sometimes it totally discourages us. So communication has that power.
