A brief YouTube short (Ashish Kothari) where Speaker B asks how to teach leaders to 'walk the bridge' from reacting to responding. Speaker A advises that shifting requires lots of practice and neurophysiological rewiring, and recommends reflective exercises like writing a life biography to trace the origins of triggers and loosen ingrained beliefs.

What are some ways in which you personally and you teach leaders to go walk the bridge? First, build the bridge and go walk the bridge from reacting to responding.
Multiple ways. Lots of practice. It's not like, oh, three easy steps, and here you go. So we're really rewiring and reprogramming our neurotransmitters physiologically in our brain. I mean, that's what we're doing technically, with any exercise that we do. Though, the one thing is getting people in touch with, to your point, their stories and their beliefs of, like, understanding where my triggers come from. Sometimes I'll ask people to write a biography of their life. Where do you think this trigger comes from? And all of a sudden, it's like, I didn't even realize that this reason that I work so hard and exhaust myself is because of this thing that happened to me when I was a kid. And I've been walking around my whole life with this belief, and right there, it just loosens it up. And so that's one way is to just really start seeing where it comes from. And when we start seeing where it comes from, sometimes that's what it takes.
