Hi, dear friends. In this week's tip on flourishing at work, I wanted to share a very powerful technique I learned to make all voices in your team be heard and create a high sense of inclusivity. This is called Fist to five, and this is how it works. On a topic, ask people to show, using their hands, the level of agreement or disagreement that they have with the topic or the decision you're about to make. A fist means I'm completely against it. A five is I'm completely aligned, and people can choose anywhere from 50, list, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Now, the power of this method is it gives voice to the minority who might be seeing something that the majority is not. In environments that are filled with complexity, it can provide a very powerful way to get a different perspective. In addition, it truly shows that as a leader, you care about everybody's point of view. Before you make a decision, take care and have a wonderful day.
