A short YouTube clip (short) in which a speaker discusses the 'inner critic' and how it prevents risk-taking, creativity, and authentic living by consuming psychic energy. The speaker links individual inner criticism to organizational effects (exhaustion, reduced innovation, burnout) and notes that inner critics resist uncertainty — which blocks experimentation and risk within teams.

It's really true. When an inner critic is doing its job so well, it means that its human, is not going to take any risk, is not going to live into their most creative, wildest ideas because they're just trying to kind of be like everybody else, or they're pressuring themselves so much to be creative or to be outstanding or to be excellent that they're spending so much psychic energy on that rather than on actually living and just being. And so this can really hold us back. And in teams that looks like it starts to look like burnout in our organizations. Exhaustion, lack of risk taking, holding back innovation. Inner critics hate when we don't know. And you have to not know, right?
