Hi dear friends. Back to back meetings are one of the biggest drivers of stress, fatigue and poor decision making. Neuroscience research found that when participants were in back to back meetings, the beta waves in their brain spiked and they didn't actually come down, so the stress accumulated over time. Contrast that with when participants were taking breaks in between meetings. So here are three ways you can integrate mindful breaks into your day. Number one, Reframe breaks as a productivity hack versus a time which is wasted. Number two, integrate them into your day to day schedule. Finally, during your break, resist the temptation to go to your phone. Instead, bring attention just to your breath. Five or six deep breaths in and deep breaths out should be enough to give a break to your nervous system. Let me know how this resonates with you and share this tip with your network.
