Are you feeling drained? Burnt out to just simply exhausted from work? You're not alone. But what if I told you that there was a simple way to boost your energy, productivity and overall well being? And that is what our tip of the week is. It's around harnessing the power of unplugging and recharging. Now, research done at the American Psychological association as well as at Harvard clearly show that when we take time to unplug and recharge, we truly can reduce our chances of burning out, increase performance and we can reduce stress. So how do you go about doing that? Three things. Number one, with your team, set boundaries and make a commitment to respect those boundaries, those moments when you are giving yourself permission to unplug from work. Second, prioritize self care. Things that you do in that time to truly recharge. They can be meditation, spending time with loved ones, but truly being able to be present in those wonderful moments. And then the third powerful thing, take more frequent breaks throughout the day. Don't just leave your recharge and unplug moments or the end of the days, but do it throughout the day so you can maintain higher levels of energy and truly flourish at work.
