Why would something like that exist for so long and be conserved? And the answer is that it's because it's that important, right? And what I mean by that is that sleep is non negotiable. And I want people to know that not just for their brain health, but for the health of their entire body. Sleep is the only time your body repairs itself. Meaning that if you're sick or you've just had a really hard workout, I don't know if you're doing CrossFit or you just got into strength training or ran a marathon or whatever, the only time that your muscles repair themselves is while you sleep. Sleep is the only time that you consolidate and form new memories. So if you're a student or you're learning something new, or doing, I don't know, new classes, online, whatever, you could learn all the learn and read all the material you want. You're not going to store it as long term memory until you actually achieve quality sleep again. Your immune function, your metabolism, your blood pressure, I mean, the list goes on and on. It's just. It is imperative for you to have adequate sleep.
