The Role of Brain Science in Building Inclusive Teams with Shannon Murphy #shorts

We need to focus on creating a more brain friendly work environment where people can show up and do their best. And it can be little ways, bigger ways, all kinds of ways. If we're really going to work to create a culture that's more brain friendly, I need to also shift the dynamic of how we're showing up and interacting, even in our standard weekly team meetings. Key part of it is creating psychological safety in the team. How are they creating an environment where everyone can show up? They see each other as adding value, as being a meaningful contributor to the team when we're working across. The complexity that global teams work across is we have to increase comfort in the brain in working across a myriad of differences, whether it's language, time zone, culture. And so it starts with intellig, intentionally decreasing fear by increasing connection and creating familiarity.
