I've had that wow feeling when I walk in the door of Venmo every single day for almost 24 years now. Imagine how much that thrills me as a founder to be able to say when I walk into the place that I helped create. And what is the wow? What is the palpability? I will tell you, at a basic level, one of the most squandered energy forces on the planet is the force of human energy. And everybody knows what human energy feels like, sounds like, acts like you, you can sense it, it's palpable. When you come into Menlo, you can feel that energy. Why? The central word here is joy, and we define it very tangibly. We want to delight the people we intend to serve, the end users of the software. We want to delight them with high quality software. We want to delight them with software that actually is usable by regular human beings, not just the engineers who built it. And, and in order to accomplish different results, you have to take a different approach.
