Avi Arya says his mentorship costs ₹25-50 lakh because his team delivers 5-10× returns for clients. He charges based on value created, not hours worked, and only takes clients where he can guarantee at least a 5× return. High fees are justified when the mentor actually moves the needle.
So people often perceive you as the highest paid agency mentors. What do you think that that perception is really anchored to?
See, the thing is, highest paid, right? First, see, many research nikya, jo karta chahiye, jo karein, I'll see ChatGPT to who are the highest paid ones. But I totally believe that any mentor who's adding value to somebody, 10x, 20x, should charge that price. So the kind of multiples that my coaching or my mentorship or my— me and my team, we're about 100 people. Jo hamne company mein aasat hain, those, that is in the multiples of tens of crores. So in return for that, if I charge a ₹50 lakh fee or a ₹25 lakh fee for mentorship, I don't think it's expensive. Other people are not charging and I become the highest paid. That is because other people are not charging. They should also charge. So my thing is anchored in the fact that 100% of the people who work with us get at least 5 to 10x return. Anchored in that belief, that confidence, I— we can make multiples for the people that we work with. And we don't work with everybody. Not that everybody who comes to us and we give them multiple. We analyze them, they analyze us. Okay, we understand their business and we see there's a possibility, then we promise 5x, then nobody's stopping us from delivering that. And in return, the value that we get is, is okay. In fact, the fees has to go up.
