A short instructional YouTube workout by Autumn Calabrese focused on a five-minute shoulder routine. The instructor presents seven shoulder exercises (military press, front raise, upright row, a press/open/close sequence, half-moons, side raise, and posterior deltoid fly), prescribes 10 repetitions per move, and emphasizes starting with lighter weights, strict form (abs drawn, shoulders down, controlled motion), and progressive overload week-to-week.

Everybody likes the look of strong, sexy, sculpted shoulders, right? But we don't always know how to get it. So that's what we're going to focus on. Today.
I have seven moves for you. We're going to do 10 reps each. Before we get started, let's talk about picking your weights. Whenever you're starting a new exercise program, I always want you to start with a lighter set so that you can really focus on your form. Each week you can progress up a little bit so that as you get stronger, you continue to challenge yourself. Okay, but first, let's break these exercises down. So military press. Grab those weights. I want you to keep them at your shoulders, standing tall, abs drawn in tight.
You're gonna press the weights all the way up.
Don't let the shoulders creep up into your ears. Press them down and let the weights.
Come down so they just go up and then down.
Next one is our front raise. So the weights start at your sides, palms are facing in. You're gonna lift the weights up shoulder height. Control em as they come down so there's no swinging here. I want everything nice and controlled.
And down. Upright row.
Bring the weights to the front of your body.
The palms face your body.
You're gonna draw the elbows up like you're a puppet. Elbows are always higher than the wrist and the wrist is always flat.
So you don't want to let your wrists roll here. Nice and flat and down. Keep your shoulders pulled back so you're making a V and down.
Next move has a couple parts to it. So what I want you to do, bring the weights up next to your chest. What you're gonna do is press forward.
Open them, close them and bring them back.
These are going to burn. Your shoulders are going to be on fire, but I promise they work. So the next one is half moons. Turn your palms forward so they're actually facing out. You're going to circle the weight up like you're drawing a half circle and lower it down so you're going to feel it in your shoulders. But you're also going to use your lats a little bit on this one.
All the way up and all the way down.
Side raise. Weights come in front of the body. To start, there's a small bend in your elbow. Think about lifting your elbow up.
Palms face the ground. Up to shoulder height and lower down one more time. Looks like this. Up to shoulder height and down.
Last move is a post delt fly.
So what you're going to do is bend over, abs drawn in tight. Back is flat, you're going to lift.
Squeeze the shoulder blades together.
Bring it down nice and controlled. Again. It looks like this. Lift and hold and bring it down.
All right, guys, when you're ready, click here to get started. Grab your weights. Make sure you've got some water nearby. Let's do this.
