What's up, guys? Welcome to this week's grocery haul.
I am showing you my groceries again because I don't buy the same thing every week. I'm hoping you don't either. Variety is key in your nutrition. Sometimes I'm stocking up on bulk items, sometimes I'm making sure I've got more fresh greens and produce and fruit. So let's take a look. Okay, from our refrigerator section, sprouted grain bread. This is Ezekiel. I love this. That's more the one I eat. Dom has a different bread that he likes, but he'll eat this one as well. I got my vital farms, pasture raised eggs. These are for Dom. You guys know I don't eat eggs. You guys. I get pasture raised specifically because that means the chickens have much more space to roam and to hunt and peck for their own food. They get like around 108 square feet each day. They get sunshine and fresh air. That's really important to the quality of your food. We got a little plain Greek yogurt. That one we love. Dom's a big fan of parfaits in the morning. Little English cucumber for our salads. Avocado, healthy fats, root veggies. Now you guys might not expect to see these. So rutabaga and turnips. I will slice these up really thin with a mandolin, put them in my salad. Great for gut health. So I try to get a variety of those in. I got a little nitrate free maple honey turkey breast. So great for Dom's lunches. I am trying to get more plant based protein in. So I got beyond meatballs to go with dinner this week. We'll do that with a little pasta, some fixate tomato sauce, organic berries. I went for blueberries this week. High in antioxidants. Those are great. I love them fresh. But I also love frozen blueberries in my smoothie. Some mixed cherry tomatoes. Sometimes I'll just pop these as a snack. Cause they're like, they got a good texture. They're not slimy, they're very firm. Asparagus also great for our gut health. So I've got some fresh organic asparagus that I'll be cooking up with. Usually I have them with my breakfast. So that's our refrigerator section. This is our freezer section. I got two different frozen fruits. We got mango chunks and pineapple chunks. I use these in my shakeology and then sometimes I'll also just blend them up with shakeology a little thicker to make it more like an ice cream. So that's really good. When I'm in a bind and I haven't made Fixate Breakfast Sausage or I run out of Fixate breakfast sausage, I use the Chicken and Maple breakfast sausage from Applegate Farms.
Broccoli florets. Organic broccoli florets. Always good to have some frozen fruit and veggies on hand for when you're in a bind. Love those for breakfast. And then I also got some riced sweet potato. There's nothing else added into this so I could saute it up. And I've got rice sweet potatoes, so that's a great way to get in another carb. That is my grocery haul for this week. Thanks for checking it out.
