This is a short YouTube video clip (Feb 6, 2017) featuring Autumn Calabrese and others discussing the 21 Day Fix Extreme workout. The speakers emphasize that although the program is labeled “Extreme,” it includes a visible modifier/beginner option (demonstrated by Cherise/Sharesse) so newcomers can follow along, build fitness over days/weeks, and progress from modified moves to the main program. The workouts are 30 minutes long and challenging but accessible when using modifications.

I'm so excited to hear that so many people are changing their lives with 21 day fix extreme. I called it Extreme because it was designed to push you to your best. In this program, I added a modifier or a beginner option if you need to modify. If you're new to this, you stick with Cherise. She's there to show you how to do these exercises in a way that anyone can do them. And guess what? After a few days of following the modifier, you're going to build up your fitness level. So those exercises that once felt hard are now going to feel a lot easier.
21 Day Fix Extreme is so amazing because some people might be like, I'm scared because it says extreme. But I found that they have a modifier, and that modifier is so nice.
So she's just not jumping as far in.
She's right next to Autumn right in.
The front, so you can see her all of the time. And I did do most of my workout today with the modifier, and as you can see, I was a sweaty mess from it.
Did I use the modifier? Of course I did. I had to. I'm not Superman. That's what it's there for. And it's okay to use the modifier. But guess what? The next week, that same workout, I didn't have to use the modifier.
Thank God, the modifier. Because whenever I was feeling like, oh, yeah, I'm doing it, I'm doing it, I'm doing it. Oh, crap, I can't do it. I would just look at the modifier and do what she was doing.
She's not going quite as deep.
I didn't think I was going to make it through. I had to modify a couple of times, but that was truly the hardest 30 minute workout that I've ever done. It is extreme. It's hard. It's supposed to be hard. But the cool thing is that you, you can start with the modifications and as you build up your strength and endurance, you can move up through the difficulty level.
I modified a good portion of this program and I felt good about it. And that made me want to keep going.
I was able to, you know, follow that modifier, build up confidence. And then each workout I knew, like, hey, I could go to the next level.
Sometimes those of us who are doing the main program have to jump in with the modifier for a few reps and then we get back to the main program.
I am modifying things that I have to for my body.
Anyone can do these workouts. You don't have to be an extreme athlete to do them. If you follow the modifier, you can build your way up.
Sharesse is modifying, so she's doing a little tap in the back.
The 30 minute home workouts were really appealing to me.
They were quite challenging at the beginning.
So I did follow the modified version and as I got stronger and better I was able to keep up.
Even though it's an extreme program, anyone can absolutely do it.
