A short YouTube video by Autumn Calabrese that lists seven "myth-busting" facts about cellulite and practical tips to reduce its appearance. Key points: cellulite is extremely common (95% of women, 10% of men), often hereditary, related to poor circulation (foam rolling ~5 minutes for whole body recommended), aggravated by estrogen, not cured by liposuction or topical creams, visibility reduced by staying hydrated, and diet/body fat affects how much cellulite shows. The video encourages focusing on health and habits rather than trying to eliminate a largely genetic trait.

What's up everyone? It's summer, it's hot. We are outside, we're showing a little bit more skin and some of us might be a little weary about that because we're worried about cellulite. So today I am here. I am giving seven myth busting tips on cellulite so we can stop focusing on the things we can't change and focus on the things that we can. Fact number one, ladies, we are in this together because 95% of women have cellulite compared to only 10% of men. I know it's not fair, but it's just a fact of life. Two, it's often hereditary. Again, if you have it, it's not necessarily something you're doing wrong, just part of the genetic makeup. Fact number three, it forms an area where there's poor circulation. So something you can do to kind of help just a little bit is to use a foam roller. You can get one@beachbody.com foam roll. The entire body every day takes about five minutes. But that will help with circulation through your entire body and that's just good for you anyways. Four, Estrogen is one of the most important hormones to initiate and aggravate cellulite. Nothing you can do about it. We have estrogen. It's in the body. It's just there. So let it go. Move past the fact that that's just something that you have. 5. Liposuctions and creams do not cure it. Stop wasting your time. Stop wasting your money on it. Move on to something that will help. Fact number six, Hydrate. I say it all the time. Hydration is just important to the body in general. But staying hydrated when you're will help minimize how much your cellulite shows. When you're dehydrated, the skin tightens up. Those fat pockets under the skin show a little bit more. So stay hydrated. 7. Diet helps to prevent cellulite. It won't cure it, but it will help prevent it. Because again, at the end of the day, cellulite is just fat under the skin. So if you're healthy, if you're carrying less fat on your body, the less it will show. There it is, you guys. Those are my seven myth busting facts about cellulite. Let's make this all about focusing on the things we can do to be healthy and, and feel good about ourselves and stop focusing on the things that might just be a part of our genetic makeup. Okay, thank you for joining me. Be sure to subscribe and I will see you guys next time. Bye.
