Create Your Best Year One Day at a Time. She lives in Massachusetts, USA, with her husband and two children. Welcome to the show, Clara. How are you?
I'm wonderful, Bernadette. Thank you so much for having me.
That is one heck of a resume, my dear. One heck of a resume. You are a rock star, let me just say that right now.
Thank you. Thank you very much. I love my work.
Yeah, well, and you could tell just in, in, in that and your accomplishments and, and you're just, you know, the uplifting that you want to do. Um, it's, it's just fabulous. So, um, give us a little bit more before we jump into all the business stuff. Give us a little bit more about you and your backstory and, and your whole world. Um, and then we— I definitely want to ask you about then how did you progress into this line of work.
Yeah, yeah. Well, you, you've read a good amount of my professional acumen. My, my greatest accomplishment, I always want to say, is, um, my inner peace and how I feel every single day with my kids and my husband working from home through this pandemic. I am originally from the Dominican Republic. I came to the United States when I was 9 years old. I am the oldest of 4 children, so that tends to tell people a lot about me. I, um, yeah, I speak fluent Spanish as well, um, and I, um You know, I love that. I love this work. I love helping to give especially women permission to really think about how powerful they are and to give them permission to really think about what is it that I really, really, really want and to go after that.
Yeah, I can imagine, because oftentimes women don't, you know, they're there and you're, you're a mother and a wife. And so you can relate. I'm single, but I have 5 sisters and I have a lot of girlfriends, and I can just see how, you know, they want to give everything to their children, to their partner, spouse, significant other, even to their family unit or even the community. And they're not necessarily going, wait a minute, I got to take care of me, right?
Correct. Yeah. And, you know, and this is a cliché statement, but I think it can't be said enough for women that you really can't give from an empty cup.
Because I mean, say that again, Clara.
You can't give from an empty cup.
Yeah.
Because what you end up giving is not really quality, it's really fumes.
Right.
And so in order for us, you know, I am a lover of big, bold ideas. I believe that women can change the world and women do change the world. We literally bring human beings into being literally through our bodies. And so You know, with that in mind, I think that it's the message of filling your own cup, giving yourself permission to be intentional about what you want, right? Um, can't be said enough, right?
Well, you know what, and you're— you triggered something for me, um, in that I have 22 nieces and nephews, and I, and I saw what, what my sister-in-laws and what my sisters, you know, went through when it came to being pregnant and then giving birth. And so your comment about the fact that women birth— I mean, what greater, greater, greater thing in the world, in the entire world, is there than bringing life into the world, right?
Right.
And what strength that takes. And I don't know, I don't like what— well, I'll ask you, do you see women really giving themselves credit and appreciating that if they ever doubt their strength and their ability to achieve what it is that they want, just the fact that they gave birth should kind of be their foundation?
Yeah, well, that's a great question, Bernadette. You know, I see all the extremes. I see women that are completely not giving themselves credit for that. But I also feel that there is a new wave, you know, of women empowerment that's been happening, right, for hundreds of years since women— we got the right to vote in the United States for women to say, hey, like, I matter, you know, I'm, I'm making a difference. Organizations are seeing that having women in their, in, in their staff actually drives up their revenue because we tend to be more collaborative and innovative and, you know, we're more nurturing. And, um, who said, right, that it's actually needed for business? So, um, it's a, it's a, you know, it's a spectrum. It's definitely women out there who are like, you know, like, this is, you know, I had, I had these kids and, you know, kind of feeling stuck, um, and not seeing, um, their ability and their power, um, all the way to there being this new wave, you know. And that's the, that's the, the wave that I'm evangelizing for, of saying you, you are powerful, you're wonderful, you're amazing. And, um, even from home in your own thinking, you know, you can start to shift your own life, but then also making a difference for others at the same time.
Love it. I love it, love it, love it, love it. I'm getting feedback. Hmm, wonder what that is. Hold on a minute. I don't know why I'd be getting a second— do you hear that, Clara?
No, I don't, I don't hear anything else. Okay, you're hearing feedback?
Yeah, I'm hearing my— I'm hearing an echo on my side.
I'm not hearing anything from my side.
All right, well, well, I'll just keep going and hope that, um, it kind of minimizes itself. Um, well, that's fabulous, and you're so right, and you're so right, um, because it is a period of time for women. Um, I mean, it's always, you know, should have been and is, and, you know, all we really want, I think— I mean, it's why we do what we do, right? Is to always ensure that women are, are putting themselves out there. And I love, love your messaging around that and your messaging around creating, you know, your year one day at a time. So help us understand what does that really mean and what did you really— what do you really want people, especially women, to take away from that? Um, and then I want to, you know, hear about the whole journey, your own journey with it.
Yeah, yeah. Well, you know, essentially what I want, um, women to, to take with my message in my book Create Your Best Year One Day at a Time is that one, you deserve to have your best year, whatever, how, however that looks like for you. You deserve to define that for yourself. What does my best year look like for me? And literally take pen to paper and write down, you know, what does it look like? What does, you know, when I think of my best year in all areas of my life, financially, spiritually, my career, in my health, in my emotion, in my emotional self? Like, how does that look like for me? And just give yourself permission to define that. And then every single day, take 1, 2, 3 actions to move towards that. Um, that you don't— you don't have to let, um, like, you don't have to allow your life to chance. You can actually be intentional about the kind of year, uh, essentially the kind of life, and even the kind of day that, that you want to have.
And when you say 1 to 3 actions, um, give us an idea. Like, sometimes people are like, oh my gosh, they have to be these big arduous things. What, what kind are they for you?
Yeah, so for me, essentially, you know, one of my, my really big goals is to, um, stay peaceful on the inside. You know, I, I don't just want to look peaceful, I actually want to feel peaceful, uh, because I understand that the more peaceful I am, the more I can use my brain The better I think, you know, I'm going to be in a better mood for my kids, for the work that I do as a coach. You know, I really have to show up and have presence. So every single day, I— one of the things that I do is that I do small mindfulness exercises. So 2 to 3 minutes of just sitting with myself and feeling my breath, just feeling my hands, just really anchoring myself in my body. Very simple. Drinking water every hour, just every hour go drink a glass of water, right? We're not drinking our water.
Yeah.
Um, and for example, you know, with my business, if I have, you know, I have a goal of, you know, hitting 6 or 7 figures, whatever that is, just saying, okay, like, what is the one action that I can take today, the most courageous action, the, the action that's going to make me the most careful. So for example, yesterday I had to submit an invoice for a really big coaching contract. And we all have money issues, that's just— let's just face it. And I, I was really procrastinating around that. And I said, you know, the one action, if I could take one action today, is to send off that freaking invoice.
Hit that send button, girl, hit it!
You know, write the— do that, do that invoice and send it off. One, you know, and I could have done a gazillion things and not actually done the important thing. So it's really about, you know, the intentionality of— I know I want, you know, I, I want abundance for my family and for myself. I want health and I want to be peaceful. What, like, those are 3 things, right, for me that I can do. Drink my water, do my mindfulness exercises, and send off that invoice, right, right, right, right. That does not include social media and all those other, the other distractions, right, that, that we, um, put into our time.
You see them to be distractions, or are they, are they almost like comfort food? It's easy to do social media when you don't want to pick up the phone and potentially face a rejection, right?
All right, right. It's, it's really about doing like, what's the important, most courageous single thing that you can do, and we all know what that is, and that you may avoid. And so what I do for myself is literally make myself a list of like, 1, 2, 3, these are the 3 things I know I'm probably gonna want to avoid because it's scary, because, you know, there's all this mental chatter about it, um, and just do those. If you, if you only do 3 things, if you only do one of those things, like, right, circle back, and you're gonna see yourself making a ton of progress, um, when you actually choose to, to take the most courageous action, right, right, right.
Uh, and, and yet they're gonna probably say in their head it is the scariest, and I love that. Pick the things that scare you as opposed to things that are— you're like, oh, I could do this while I'm sleeping, uh, type of things. I love that, I love that. So Would you— so help us understand, um, kind of how someone would use this book. Is it a read? Is it a, you know, work your way through? Because it has some, you know, prompts and guides. Kind of talk to us about Create Your, uh, Create Your Best Year One Day at a Time.
Yeah, so I, you know, I wrote this book for women like myself, women who are busy, who, uh, really need, you know, that little that reminder to just say, hey, like, so the book itself, I'll tell you, I came up with the book when I had my first daughter. I, like many mothers, when we have kids, it's like we're kind of lost in this world of motherhood. Like, oh my God, is this all there is? And, you know, and like, this too shall pass. So I wrote the book, you know, not just for mothers, but for all women to really it— you can actually write in the book. So it's both a book and, um, a workbook as you go along. You can write in what is— what does my best year look like? So there's actually a page where you can write in, um, there's questions of what does my best year look like? What does— like, um, what are some of the things that will— that will, um, really show me that I've had the best year? Um, and you can really jot down questions, and you can start this process at any time. So September being— but we're like now fourth quarter— this is a wonderful time for you to reset. Um, and maybe it's not like you're gonna achieve everything, you know, between September and December, but maybe between this September and next September, right? Um, I— there's, there's poetry in the book, you know, to get you inspired. So there's— yeah, there's, there's actually a poem in there that says, you know, your, your year starts when you say it starts. And you can hit that. Yeah, yeah, you can, you can restart whenever, um, you know, because sometimes we get these like new wave of energy that comes to us at different times. Hey, if September is your time, then it's totally cool. You can, um, re-visualize what your year would look like. So you go through the book, there's space to write every single day, like, what can I do today to make this the best year of my life?
Right. Yeah, I love that. I love that. I— and, you know, because we talked about the very beginning that one thing they should listen for is how to visualize it.
Yes.
So what do you— what are some tips, or what do you tell people to do that are more that visual person versus that person who wants to scribble things down?
Yeah, so, um, I just first want to speak to visualization because visualization is extremely powerful. Um, what visualization does is that it gets into— it really takes takes your, um, your conscious desires, right, and puts them in your unconscious mind. And most of our actions are actually driven by our unconscious minds. Actually, 95% of the things that we do in life come from our unconscious. So if you take your conscious desires and put them in your unconscious mind through visualization— and when I say visualization, what I mean is one, like, actually writing down in the future, like, you know, take the magic wand and like, what would be the ultimate reality for me? You include all of your senses, like, what would you see, what would you hear, what would you taste, who would be there, like creating, you know, like really defining that reality for yourself and writing it down in a piece of paper. What I tell people is record, um, record your, your vision for yourself in, in, in, um, present terms. Like, I am receiving, you know, the— I am receiving that raise and I feel amazing and my family is cheering me on and I have my best outfit on and I feel so wonderful. Record it for yourself and listen to it.
Nice.
So this is something that I have people doing in my coaching certification course. I do it for my clients. And I'm giving it to you. Record it, listen to it before you go to sleep, as you go to sleep, or as soon as you wake up, or as many times as you can actually hear the words of the visualization.
Yeah.
And you will naturally, if you do this enough, Bernadette, you will naturally feel yourself taking action towards that vision.
That's especially because it's in your own voice. Too.
Correct.
You know, it's one thing to hear somebody else say what it is, but for you to hear yourself, uh, especially when you're drifting off to sleep— I, I— yeah, that's awesome.
It has to be in positive, you know, positive language.
Yes.
So say everything you want as opposed to what you don't want, and in the present tense, as if it's already happening right now.
Yeah, as if you already have it.
As if it's already happening right now.
Yeah. Okay. Already having it right now. I love that. Be sure to fire— follow her on Facebook, everybody. All right. And at the same time, I, you know, if you didn't note it, I kind of, you know, put the link to how you can also pick up Create Your Best Year One Day at a Time. So you mentioned the book, you mentioned you're a coach and a consultant and an advisor and a number of other things. The powerhouse, as you are. How do you feel that coaching, even with the book— so you have this book, Create Your Best Year One Day at a Time. And what would you say to someone who says, oh, well, you know, I'll just use the book? And yet, what's your view on when you use the book, but then you pepper, you know, you layer in the coaching over and above that? What kind of difference, what kind of significance that could make to someone? What, what would you tell someone?
For sure, you know, it's, it, it all really depends on, you know, what level, how, how, how fast you want to move, um, and, and what your ability, financial ability really is. You know, I wrote, I wrote the book because, you know, there's a lot of women and a lot of men also out there that could really use a coach but can't afford it, right? So if, you know, if, if I could just take some of my knowledge and put it in a book and have someone just follow follow through on it, hey, more power to you. I love— I, you know, I love that you've taken that action.
Absolutely.
Um, but if you really need help really following up on really taking the steps, or you feel like you want to move further and you have the ability to hire a coach, hey, I would love to work with you, right? Um, you know, and there, there has to be a certain level of readiness, you know, for that person to maybe have tried some other things and it didn't work out, and then they're like, you know, I really need a coach. Um, So it's really like going to the gym and doing the machines on your own, or, you know, those people that have had a personal trainer know the difference that it makes to have somebody by your side helping you do the exercises correctly and most importantly, celebrating your wins. And if an obstacle comes up or, you know, something comes up, really helping you to capture the learning of that challenge. Right. When it comes again, you, you can surpass that challenge with more ease because there's going to be difficulties. We all have, we all have difficulties, especially when we're trying to, you know, achieve more than what we had before. There's going to be resistance. And so a coach is really just going to help, is really going to help you, um, really become stronger because of the, the challenge and the resistance and not have you give up.
Yeah. Well, and you had mentioned earlier, that we all have money issues, you know, and that really comes down to— it's really not about the dollar bill, it's about your work, you know, your feelings of self-worth or self-deserving, and that's all mindset. So I— if— correct me if I'm wrong— what you're all— what you're saying is not just overcoming obstacles, like, okay, that, that went off course, let's get it back on course tactically, but you're also talking about, you know, there's going to be mind— you, you use the word mindfulness earlier there's going to be mind, you know, shifts that need to be made. And a coach like yourself is going to help them, you know, ask— you're going to ask the right questions, you're going to guide them through identifying those things and working to shift those. Would that be a fair assessment as to what you do?
It is, it is, Bernadette. And also, in addition to that, is also looking at, you know, what are those core beliefs? Like, where did you get those first, um, where, where does your mindset stem from, right? And like, let's really look at that and like heal whatever needs to be healed, um, so that it doesn't happen again. And also, um, you know, another thing that I, that I have people look at, you know, especially those, those of— there's those of us who may have come from, you know, disadvantaged, um, backgrounds, to also look at that and say, you know, like, my fam— you know, I come from a a family or a generation of people that, um, you know, maybe they weren't very good with money, or money was, you know, or, you know, different opportunities weren't afforded to them. And so, um, just being aware of that as well, um, can be very helpful. And a coach can also help you look at what are the societal, um, setups, right, that, um, that have brought you to where you are. And once you're aware of that, it's is also healing that and, and choosing to make a different choice each and every day. Um, and that takes, that takes work and it takes support.
Absolutely. And why go it alone, right?
Why go it alone?
I mean, you know, you're struggling already, ladies. You know, you're struggling already. And, you know, you're— don't you find, Claire, do you find that a lot of them also, they don't necessarily want to turn to their their best friend or their family member or somebody else because they're already feeling as if, you know, they might be judging them or they might be waiting for the ball to drop. And, and, or they want to sit there and do it themselves, but they don't need to do it themselves, right?
Absolutely. Yeah, I'm totally, I'm totally about, you know, like, we drop the Superwoman thing. Like, we're just human beings doing the best that we can. And yeah, the thing with like friends, of course, like, you could, you can grab a friend and like be accountability buddies, But that friend is not really going to challenge you to the next level of where you really want to go, you know. And, and that friend is also going to want to keep you safe. And, you know, growth does not happen in safety.
And, and some of those friends are enablers. I, I had a number of them. That's why I'm saying that. I mean, yeah, you, you know, they, you know, they enable you to stay where you are because that means that you're not going to change and, and leave them. Or, and, you know, and it's not, you know, nothing You don't want to be bitter to them, toward them about it, but you just need to take care of yourself and recognize—
you know, we love— listen, we love our friends. We need our— sometimes we really need our enablers.
Absolutely.
Um, but if you're really serious about, um, taking your life to the next level, to really changing, to, um, breaking generational cycles, to like really liberating yourself, um, I love that. Getting a coach is, is really, uh, it's the way to go.
Yeah, awesome, awesome. All right, so apart from, uh, well, no, not really apart from— now that we're talking about, okay, you know, what they could be doing to visualize and what they could be doing to really kind of walk through defining what kind of life they want in a year from now, what could they actually be doing to create that life? We talked about the 3— take 3 actions that are scary or courageous in a day. What more would you suggest to them in regards to what they can do to create their best year?
Yeah, so we talked about visualization. So first, like, visualizing, you know, what it is that your year would look like, um, taking 3 steps every day to make sure that you're moving towards that vision. But another really wonderful thing that you could do is be working on your mental fitness. So what mental fitness really looks like is saying, when a situation comes my way How do I use my brain power in order to take positive actions? And how am I seeing the gift in this situation? Um, nice. Yeah, seeing the, you know, what, like, we have challenges every day, but I, I believe, right, and there is a, a part of our brain that actually processes all— everything that happens to us is essentially a gift if you choose see it that way. And that is a mental muscle that you could be exercising. So through mindfulness, um, you could be living in that space more often. So that is, that is my, my, my third tip, is really to work on your mental fitness through mindfulness exercises so that you're able to see everything that happens in your life, including the challenges, right? As bringing a gift.
What do you do when you say— because I'll be honest with you, Clara, 6 years ago, um, you know, even though I've been through my shedding process for about 12 now, at first I was very, you know, kind of just business, you know. I was a business coach. Um, God forbid I would never have called myself a life coach or a transformation coach like I am today because I didn't get it. I didn't get the role of mindset and what it was that I needed to be doing, especially at work. It was kind of like, I just need the skills.
Yeah, you know.
So what do you do or, or say to, to someone that comes to you who might be in that same state of being at the moment, that they really don't get all the woo-woo? I, you know, I used to call it, you know, it's not a woo-woo, I promise, it's a how-to. But yet it is woo-woo because it is mindset. So what do you do when you have resistance from someone about the fact that their actions could be as a result of their mindfulness or lack thereof?
Yeah, well, one of the things that I tell people is that I actually taught a class at Harvard Business School called Interpersonal Dynamics. And I would joke around and tell people, I teach business people how to care. Because, um, yeah, I teach business people how to care.
I love that.
Yes, you know, in, in today's world, in such a fast-paced moving world, we really need to learn how to connect with people, right? And, and the key to connecting with people is learning to connect with yourself. So if you, um, lack empathy for yourself, you are not going— you're gonna— you're going to lack empathy for others. In, in our brains, we have these things called mirror neurons. So if you're faking it to make it, or if you're just, um, talking to somebody because you, um, you just want to make the sale and you're in a sense of desperation, the other person is going to actually pick that up.
Yeah, yeah.
So I, I come to them with you know, from that angle and saying like, it's gonna affect your bottom line.
Yeah.
If you don't work on your own energy and being first and foremost like connected to your own, like to your feelings, um, to being empathetic for yourself, to caring about the process. And that what you said, Bernadette, is it's really good, the how to do things. Right? It's not just about the direct doing, but there's like an interconnectedness, um, to everything, right? Um, and everything that we're gonna get in life is through people.
Yep.
And so this interpersonal ability that we need, um, starts with ourselves.
Yeah.
And I usually come to people from that perspective, and I'll— and I'll have them do an exercise that I have in my book and that I also give to people who, when they sign up on my website on my website where I have you look at different aspects of your life. There's an exercise I do called the Wheel of Life where you can look at different areas of your life and see how am I doing in these areas and start to take action towards that. Because self, you know, to really interconnect everything you said, it starts with self.
Yeah, yeah, self-awareness, self-awareness. Clara, I spent 4 and a half decades Totally unaware. Totally unaware. I mean, it was like I stormed out of a, you know, out of, I don't know, out of a rocket when I finally realized that, oh my God, I have to look in the mirror and really become aware of who I truly am. But I'll tell you, Clara, it was the hardest thing to do but the most liberating, freeing exhilarating thing to do. So talk about— talking about do one thing that scares you or one thing that's courageous, becoming self-aware.
Yeah, know thyself, for sure, for sure. And, and it's, you know, and it's— and, and one— and I'm sure, Bernadette, that one of the things that you saw was how powerful you are, right? How, how much you create the, the good things in your life, but the not so good things in your life. Yeah. Um, and taking responsibility for that. And I know that for a lot of people it's really scary to do that, um, but we really need, you know, for all of us, right, to really take a look at both, you know, the kind of the shadow in our life, you know, the bitch, you know, like who's that negative voice talking, like what does she need, and, um, you know, and in our, in our more kind of positive side, what we're showing the world, and to really integrate that, um, yeah, and be, and be more wholesome for sure.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, in my world— there's that echo again— in my world, it's, um, it's bitches and riches, pain and joy, you know? That's what it's all about. The bitches are your fears and negativities and, and whatnot that cause you to lash out on the world or be unhappy. So, um, I love that. I love, I love, I love, I love. So I want everybody— hold on a minute— I want you to all go to her website and pick up her book, Create Your Best Year One Day at a Time, how best can they, you know, apart from reading and working through it, but really, how can they maximize the use of this book? And, and I have a second part. I'm sorry.
Yeah.
And how can they use it even if they were to go and give it to their peers or their teammates or others? How can they use it? You know, for themselves and others?
Yeah, so, so one way that I take the learning to the next level is I, I, I have a course called Positive Intelligence, and in that book it's really about— in that course, excuse me— is really taking the learning of the book and going deeper with it. You, for 7 weeks, you come together with a pod of 5 to 6 women who are also wanting to like more deeply understand the way that they use their brain and their energy and their power in order to create what they want. And so one thing is to read it, right? Another thing is to apply it, and then another thing is to really embody that knowledge, right? So that you can truly transform your life with it.
And so you, you actually— I mean, they, they have the opportunity to go to all three stages of that.
Correct.
Love that. Love, love, love that. And why not, um, and I love the word pod, why not, you know, have your own pod of others that you can work through these things with? It's fabulous. What an awesome idea. And everyone, so, um, the— her course Positive Intelligence is below. The link is below. Just go to Clara clarangelinadiez.com/positive-intelligence-course.
But you'll find it, you'll find it. Yeah, you'll find it if you go, go on my website. You, um, it's in the menu, you'll find it.
And at the same time, but pick up her book as well, um, Create Your Best Year One Day at a Time, because that's the pace we all need to work at, especially these days, you know, with all everything going on. You just want to do things one day at a time, everyone. And Clara has given you a beautiful and a formula for doing just that. I love it. All right. So in our last minute or so, what would you say, you know, would be the, the top 1 to 3 things? And, you know, you could pick the number of what you want to share and give that you want to either provide as a tip or inspiration or just leave our audience with?
Yeah, well, the first, the, the first thing is, is one, to just take a piece of paper, get pen to paper, and start writing down everything that you want in your life. Really give yourself permission to want. Give yourself permission to want. Um, you know, women, women are watching this, you know, you, you're wonderful, you're powerful, you're needed, um, and your intentional action, um, is needed. Don't just leave, leave it to chance. Don't think like, oh, I'm just waiting for that opportunity. Know that you are the opportunity.
Yep, you are the opportunity. I love it. And, and more importantly, so I want you to touch on, because we do have time, I want you to touch on that chance. Don't leave it to chance. What do you see? What do you experience? What do you deal with, you know, with your clients when it comes to them kind of just leaving it up to chance.
Yeah, well, for example, like kids going back to school right now, you know, so many, um, so many moms are like, oh, I hope my kids has— my kid has a good year, you know. I really, I really hope, you know, the, that, that their teacher is a good teacher. I really hope, um, that, you know, I'm able to manage it all. It's like, no, like, let's get ahead of that, you know. Let's, let's take— let's, let's be proactive. Um, so is that like, how do you need to shift your schedule? Like, what kind of support do you need to get? Um, you know, like really, like, let the brain think. Ask yourself the questions and let yourself come up with the answers, and then take the action, right? Visualize, like, what kind of year do we want to have? We want to have an awesome year. Okay, wonderful. What do we need to do in order to have that? Um, you know, in, in inside of you, trust your intuition. You know what you need to do. Put it on paper, and every single day do your very best best. Yeah, um, to make that happen for yourself.
Well, and you had mentioned we were going to be talking about SMART goals because I think that's what you're also laying out too, is you're going to visualize. We talked about that, but speak specifically, if you would, to ensuring that you have SMART goals to then be your guide.
So SMART goals, what that's— it's an acronym for specific, measurable, attainable, relatable, and time-specific. So it's really saying, okay, you have a vision, like, okay, I want to have a, you know, I want the rest of this year to be wonderful, right? That's, that's the, that's the vision. The goal would be like, okay, what would be wonderful? Let's say, you know, that my daughter, um, feels happy in school, that, you know, I, um, generate an extra $40,000, um, for the rest of this year, that, um Like, for me, that I'm able to get my child to sleep, um, 7 hours at night, my little baby. Um, you know, like, make it specific and, and, like, give it a time, give it a timetable. Like, I want to achieve this by this time. And, you know, some people don't want to do that because they're like, oh my God, there's so many variables. But there's, there's a saying that says it's, it's not that people, um, plan to fail, is that they fail to plan. And so just, you know, yeah, it might not go exactly how you want it to go, but just give yourself permission to be bold, um, with your life, with what you want, with your, your business goals, your life goals, um, and, and take a pen to paper. Pen to paper. This is what I want by this day, you know. I, let's say I want to buy a new car by December. I want it to be white. I wanted, you know, and it may not, it may not come out exactly as you want it to, to, to come out, but when you align with everything that you want, you know, what I have found is that sometimes it's better. It's actually better, but you've got to give yourself permission.
Well, doesn't it feel better that when you can Doesn't it feel better that when you have like that goal, and especially in your world of visualizing it and visualizing it even on paper, but I love that white car. So all of a sudden you have this white car in your head all the time and that kind of gets you excited. Like, okay, I am doing this and I am working, you know, late one night and maybe I'm doing something scary one day. It's because that white car.
And because I want to feel— and then especially, right, the energetics of it is, right, I want to feel successful, I want to feel powerful, I want to feel free. Yeah, right. Really get in touch with, you know, that— that's, that's, that's where the feminine energy comes in. Yeah, I want to feel. And it's 100% your right to feel the way you want to feel, um, and to go after the things you want to go after.
