Hi, my name is Bernadette Boas, author and screenwriter. I'm adapting my first book, Shedding the Corporate Bitch, which is both an apology and a true story, into a film screenplay. You can think Devil Wears Prada meets My Name Is Earl. My screenplay focuses on Brenda Bostic, a 25-year PR veteran and corporate tyrant who is suddenly facing her own bitch in the mirror when she is handed a pink slip and is then forced to apologize to the roadkill she left in her life in order to find both herself and a love she's never had. The story flashes back and forth between the '70s and today with all of its music, hairstyles, and attitudes, and provides us for once a glimpse into how a woman with so much could transform from a sassy, precocious girl into the ultimate corporate bitch. With your help, we can make Brenda take accountability for the havoc she wreaked on so many people's lives. All funds raised will go to hiring a professional screenwriter who will help me tighten up and polish the screenplay, and then to create the materials needed in order to pitch the Hollywood honchos. Now, according to Kickstarter policy, we will only receive the funds if we raise 100% or more of our goal.
