[New Episode] Undoing Your Business by Reclaiming YOU with LauraAura

In this Shedding the Bitch Radio and TV episode, host Bernadette Boas interviews business and mindset coach Laura Aura about "undoing" a business by reclaiming the parts of oneself that have been unintentionally given away to people, circumstances, or expectations. Laura explains that many women entrepreneurs operate out of a series of "shoulds"—how they should look, speak, market, price, and even how they should feel—leading to misalignment, exhaustion, and financial frustration. She uses vivid analogies (an airport full of suitcases, an onion with many layers) to illustrate how carrying these extra burdens slows progress. The core of the undoing process is a three‑step framework: Recognize where you are holding back, Release the people, services, habits, or possessions that no longer serve you, and Reclaim by making decisions from an aligned, centered place. Laura contrasts "forcing" (selling or doing things you don’t love) with "allowing" (offering services that light you up) and emphasizes the power of saying "no" to create space. She stresses that transformation is not a quick fix; it requires inner work, shifting scarcity or low‑vibrational mindsets, and building new habits. The conversation also covers practical, bite‑size actions—re‑evaluating morning routines, trimming social‑media accounts, simplifying service tiers, decluttering wardrobes—and the emotional relief that follows. Laura shares her coaching style, which blends intuitive energy work with grounded action, and promotes a free "Power Lead Quiz" that identifies five common power leaks (mind, time, voice, presence, money) followed by a complimentary discovery call. Throughout, the tone is conversational, supportive, and enthusiastic, aiming to empower women to shed limiting beliefs, reclaim their authentic selves, and build businesses that feel effortless and "orgasmic".

I'm fabulous. Thank you for having me.
Oh, you are so welcome. I kind of came across, uh, information about you and your— the topics that you discuss, and I was like, oh my gosh, her aura is exactly what we need in Shedding the Bitch. So I'm so thrilled that you're here. And so before we get into all the discussion on the undoing, uh, share with us a little bit about yourself personally, where you're calling, you know, where you're coming from and just who is Laura Ora?
Yeah. So again, thanks so much for having me. Love the name of the show. I feel like I am with the right people, which makes a really big difference. So I've been an entrepreneur for, I would say, my whole life, but actively for the last 15 years. So long story short, when I was 6 and a half months pregnant with my son, I decided to quit my job and start my business. Some gutsy moves, so to speak. So I am in South Central Pennsylvania. I am married to my best friend. We've been together since we were high school sweethearts. So, oh wow, yeah, 22 years this year. And we have a beautiful son who will be 15 in the fall, celebrating our 15th year in business. So it's, it's been an incredible ride. Uh, we just purchased a commercial building last year that we're renovating into an entrepreneurial hub. So everything I do in my life revolves around supporting and inspiring entrepreneurs. So all of this was the right next step.
Oh, that is so awesome and so exciting. So anybody who's like, you know, in the, uh, is it Southeast? Did you say South Central?
So we're right on the Maryland-Pennsylvania line. So if you're familiar with Hagerstown, Maryland, or Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, we're like in between those, right?
Oh, that's awesome. Well, congratulations on the commercial building, and it'll be exciting to, uh, kind of follow it along. So if you, you know, want to share with us when you're ready to launch, I'd be more than happy to share that with everyone.
Wonderful. Well, it's called the Aura Building.
Of course it is.
Has an energy of her own. Um, and so it's— we're on Instagram and sharing all the progress and the fun construction, you know, tearing down bricks and all kinds of things. So if you wanted to follow along with that, it's @theaura Eldg.
Oh, very cool. Very, very, very cool. Can they also find it at your, um, @thatlauraaura on Instagram?
Yeah, absolutely. And I'm really active on TikTok, um, sharing, sharing videos of progress and behind the scenes and silly things.
So nice. Very nice. Well, congratulations again and good luck. It'll be fabulous. Fabulous. All right, we are here to talk about the undoing. So share with us what that means, undoing your business. What exactly does that mean to somebody?
Yeah, I think it's important to talk about context, right? Like, I'm very adamant about teaching things that I have been through. So there is experience, there is knowledge, there's real life scenarios behind this, right? So long story short, behind the scenes, Prior to the pandemic, things were going in my business and in my life, but it was hard. Running a business is challenging, right? Like, there's really no getting around that. But when I say hard, I mean like uphill battle, claw and scratch, and just making enough to make ends meet sometimes. And it's like I didn't, I didn't understand how I could be working so hard and feel so unfulfilled and exhausted and broke. And it was like a part of my soul was dying, honestly. It's just miserable. And so when the pandemic happened and I was forced to make very necessary decisions, it gave me the space to say, okay, when is the last time that I asked, what does Laura want?
Nice.
And it was so profound. And all of a sudden I started to realize all of the ways that I had been unintentionally giving away myself, right? Saying yes to things that I didn't want to, but I didn't want to let people down. Adding services or keeping services that I felt like we should do, right? Undoing is a lot of shoulds.
That's awesome. I love that. Undoing is a lot of shoulds.
So many shoulds, because, you know, particularly women in business, we get wrapped— it's, it's very easy to get wrapped up in the shoulds. This is how I should dress. This is how I should talk. This is how I should present myself. These are the services that I should have. These are the social media accounts that I should have. This is how I should act, right? Like, there's all these, uh, influences around us, and it can be really easy to just really absorb everything and lose who the hell you are in the first place.
Right, right.
And so Undoing, this concept was born from, you know, a very pivotal moment in my life when I realized, like, I'm not the only one. I want to start undoing all of this shit because it doesn't belong to me. I have been carrying the weight of other people's circumstances or situations, as you mentioned.
I love that.
And it's time to start sitting some of these things down. I think think of it like this. I'm all about analogies. So picture yourself walking through an airport. You are going to a destination that you're just so excited about, but you are carrying 50, 100, 200 suitcases. You're dragging some behind you. They're hanging off your arms. Some are bags, some have wheels, some are oddly shaped. Like there's just all this stuff around you. And you realize like, I, while I may be moving towards where I know I want to be, it's heavy and it's hard and it's complicated and it's, it's just not the right feeling.
And it hurts.
It does hurt. Like, look, you know that when you like roll over and you throw out your back for no reason, like, right? Um, undoing is like allowing yourself to sit down 2 of those suitcases at a time. And then take that weird one off of your head and then free up your left arm. And like, before you know it, all of a sudden you have more momentum, right? Movement, right? You are more fluid in where you're going and what you're doing and the decisions that you're making. It becomes lighter, it becomes more fun, and ultimately you can get to where you want to be a lot sooner.
Yeah.
So the undoing process is, it's ever evolving.
Right, right, right, right.
It's an onion. I'm still finding things to undo.
Absolutely.
I tell you what, when you really start, you have to allow yourself the time, right? That's the biggest part of this is like, you're going, you're rushing, you're in the motion, you're in the routine, you're in the habits, and it's like, you almost have to force yourself to stop, right?
Well, before we get there, okay, so before we get there, what was it like? What if someone's out of alignment? How can they tell they're out of alignment? And like, what literally, physically, emotionally, spiritually were you feeling when you all of a sudden said All right. Something's got to give.
Yes. So alignment is huge. And when you're out of alignment, some things that I've experienced, my clients have experienced is one, things are just like unusually hard. And I know that there are challenges and sometimes life happens, right? Like just things pop up. Right. I think we can all accept and understand that.
Right.
I'm talking about unusually hard for long periods of time. You're forcing things to happen. You're, you're doing, you know, doing all the have-tos. You're like climbing and scratching and clawing and hanging on to things and desperate. So desperate. Absolutely desperate. That is the opposite of alignment. The other thing that happens is something— it's physical. When you're not in alignment, you don't feel well. Energy to get out of bed in the morning. You're not excited about the things that you're doing. Um, that natural, like, spark and fire and, and, and energy center that you are, it's, it's like it's there but not. And so it's really like, really start paying attention to what you're doing and how you're doing it, but also how you're feeling, right? And if that's just the norm if you've accepted that this is just how it is, this could be a really strong sign that you're out of alignment. Yeah, because I can promise you there is a whole different feeling waiting.
Now, how don't you find— and therefore, do you coach your clients? They probably have been through something similar. It may not be as intense or, you know, visceral or just, you know, but they've been through it before and they've gotten through it and they saw the, you know, the, the gold on the other end of it. Right. So when you're working with someone who's going through this, do you remind them of that? So they, they kind of like say, okay, look, you've done it once before, you can do it again.
Yes. Well, the other thing too is like a lot of my clients come to me with like a business challenge. But before you're a business owner, you're a human. And so at the root of that business challenge 9.5 times out of 10, there's typically something human happening.
Right.
There's a resistance, there's a fear, there's a forcing, there's, this is how I've always done it. I'm like, you know, there's something else going on typically that is feeding that business challenge.
Yeah.
So it's, we really have to look at ourselves, especially if you're listening and you're a business owner, like, yes, that is a really important role, but your human self is everything. And without that, there is no business, there is no growth, there is no expansion.
Right. Right. And as long as you're kind of staying still, it sounds like you're not able to move yourself or your business to the next level. Is that what it kind of gets down to?
Absolutely. Because again, going back to that analogy, if you think about like, okay, If I told you that everything that you are working towards and can see and feel in your heart and soul is on the other side of allowing yourself to sit down some of that weight, but you force yourself to continue carrying that weight, whether it's yours or not, it's really hard to get to where you want to be. It's really hard to, to see other opportunities that are around you. It's really hard to have space for something new and aligned to come in, right? Because if you're all just clouded with all the shoulds, all those beautiful, like, purposeful, aligned decisions and opportunities, they don't have space to come in.
So it's almost like you have to purge, right? You have to get rid of stuff, undo. Yes, in your words, in order to then be able to have some white space.
Correct.
So you can fill it up with better things.
With amazingly better things. I will, I will add to that, that, and I want to acknowledge that that can feel really scary. Purging can feel really scary. Like, oh my gosh, is she going to make me like not talk to somebody again? Is she going to make me get rid of half of my business? Is she going to tell me that like I'm failing and I should just shut it down? And it's like, okay, well, hold on. Let's, let's pause and pull it back. Natural human reaction, right?
Right.
And so a lot of times it's really just starting with like baby steps.
Such as?
Little tiny shifts. Think about like your morning routine, for instance. Are you doing it the way that you want to do it? Or are you doing it the way that someone told you that you should do it? And so if you, if you're being told that like the first thing that you have to do when you wake up in the morning is drink 8 ounces of lemon water and every day you're forcing yourself to do it. You don't have to drink— like, not everybody is the same body, right? So recognizing, okay, I'm recognizing that that doesn't, that doesn't align with me. So what would I actually like to do in the morning? Maybe instead I would like to have a glass of tea and sit on my front porch. Maybe I prefer to drink a cup of coffee in my bed. Like, it's letting— it's, it's allowing yourself to let go of a should and fill it with something that feels like you. Yeah. So these are baby steps, right? Like little incremental things. But I can tell you, when you start to feel what that feels like, it is contagious. And you start like, you just start going through your life and your business like, yep, I can see it, I can feel it, let's move it.
Yeah, I have to, I have to agree with you because, um, You know, about 6 years ago, I purged in every aspect of my life. And, you know, even, you know, moved into a very like 400-square-foot guest house of mine. And, you know, and so it was the most liberating, freeing experience, let alone then I worked on the mental and the emotional and the spiritual. And, uh, gosh, I wish I knew you when I went through that all by myself.
I, you know, I applaud you. You did it, right? Like, the work that we're talking about is not a quick fix.
No, no, it's not an overnight fix, right?
Really a shift from within, right? It's a shift of your soul. It's a shift of the expectations.
Yeah.
And that— it's like a muscle, and the more you use it, the stronger it gets.. And then all of a sudden, like, you'll realize one day, like, oh, I'm not willing to— I'm not willing to put up with that. I'm not willing to have that kind of energy in my life. I'm not willing to take on that type of client. I don't go to that thing because it doesn't feel good to me, right? Like, you start making decisions based out of you instead of what everyone else may want you to do, right? And it's powerful. It's literally— it's life-changing stuff. But it, it takes time. I think it's so important to make sure we, we talk about is like there's no quick solution here, but it is possible and it's contagious.
And why do you think, apart from the fact that there's no quick fix, why do you think it's important for you to stress to the, you know, the women that are listening or watching that it's not a quick fix? What do you see from your clients or potential clients coming to you of what they're looking for that you feel that you have to stress that because it's so important?
Yeah. So two things, two reasons. One, the internet. Social media is beautiful and has so many opportunities and has connected so many amazing people. The challenge though is the comparison. And so you see other business owners that are, you know, seemingly have had overnight success. Or they're a 6-figure this or a 7-figure that, or they're— they lost the weight by, you know, this one tiny thing. And like, there's just all these like seemingly, if you do this, then this will happen quickly.
Right, right.
And it just, it just doesn't set the expectations properly.
Yeah, yeah.
Because building a business is not quick, it's right, it's not seemingly easy, and it's not overnight.
Right.
Shifts in your life are the same way, right? Like, I don't have a magic formula. I can't say follow these 3 things and like the rest of your life will be super easy and you can do whatever you want. Like, it doesn't work like that. It's, it's literally building a muscle. It's literally standing in your power and starting to listen to yourself for the first time, maybe ever.
Yeah. Well, and what just popped up for me is I, you know, I can only assume maybe you're working with people in their 30s, 40s, 50s, you know, 60s. They are 30, 40, 50, and 60 with all the stuff, the junk, the shit as you called it, that they've been living with for decades. And then they expect that it could— would happen and change and shift overnight. And that's what you're trying to get across is you're trying to undo years of belief systems.
Yes.
And it doesn't happen overnight.
Exactly. And the second portion is, like I mentioned earlier, a lot of times my clients will come to me with a business problem thinking that we can just implement something in the business real quick and it can go away.
Right.
And there are a lot of tools and there are a lot of great things that can make really positive shifts. But if we don't shift what's at the root, that problem will continue.
Sure.
It's a cycle. And if it doesn't show up in that area of your life or business, it'll show up in another one. Right. And so it's like, yes, I'd love to run to the finish line with you. And there are some, certainly some quick wins that we can check off the box to feel good. I think that's important.
Yeah.
But the meat and potatoes, so to speak, it, we have to get to the root. We have to get to like, why are we doing this in the first place? Okay, we want to rush and get this thing launched. Okay, why? What, what sense of urgency is feeding that? Right? Maybe there's a scarcity mindset. Maybe there's, I'm gonna miss out on something, you know, like there's just— we are dimensional beings, right? And we are vibrational beings. And so it really, it's it's this— I don't really even know how to explain it other than we, we vibrate on such different levels. And when we're undoing, we're letting go of all that low vibrational stuff that no longer serves us.
I mean, Laura, I love it because shedding the bitch is about shedding all the bitches of fear, insecurity, negativities. So the undoing, you know, is just like we're kismet, we're like sisters from a different mother. Yeah, or from the— what, whatever they say, from a different mister. Yeah, there you go, there you go. Um, and wouldn't a good— since you like analogies and I'm not really good at them, however, what popped in my head was it's almost like you could work with them on putting in a great sales lead generation system, but if they're so insecure and they don't believe in themselves to be able to pick up the phone and use that information to pitch the, you know, pitch their present themselves and they're what is and ask for the sale, then it's all for naught. Yeah. So you got to take care of that, that's that fear and that do undo that all those fears to make all that other how-to work, right?
That's exactly right. It's exactly right. Because then you have this like perfectly curated tool at your disposal. But if you are feeling insecure or your confidence is challenged or there's, there's something else going on, you're probably not getting on Instagram and making reels about it. You're probably not talking about it on other people's podcasts. You're probably, um, you know, pulling back whenever it gets to the part in your sales call when it's time to talk about like, okay, how do we proceed together, right? Like there's like a shyness that you approach it all with, even though you can have the Cadillac of sales funnels, right? It could be a guaranteed system, but if you're not feeling one, if you're not feeling it and you're not aligned with it, right? Two, you haven't done the inner work. It's, it's just never going to land the way that it could.
And you're being, and you're being kind to say shyness, because I was that person when I first started 20, 12 years ago. You would never know right now that I would be insecure about picking up the phone and, and asking for anything. Um, and yet, and I spent thousands of dollars on, you know, big CRM systems and mailing, mailing lists and you name it. And it just sat there.
Yep.
For a good 2 or 3 years. And so I'm warning all of you, um, you know, LauraAra.com, you know, because you deserve so much more than that. And I get it. I told— because that's exactly where I was until I did the until I did the internal work.
Yeah.
Um, you know, so yeah, I love that. Now you talk about allowing yourself versus forcing yourself. You know, what does, what does that look like? Um, you know, between those two, as far as making sure you allow yourself versus force yourself.
Yeah. So like what you were just talking about, you, you had all the sales funnels and all the pieces and you You invested in all the courses and the classes and all these things, right? If we break that down to what were you even selling at that time and were you like insanely in love with it? I'm going to guess probably not.
No.
Because either A, maybe you thought that you had to sell it because that's what other people were selling or it was a similar type of thing. Or, you know, like you're kind of pulling straws and hoping that this is what people want, right? That's the one. So very common things, right? I want to humanize this aspect. We all make these mistakes in business. They're, they're learning opportunities. The trick is to listen and learn and then allow differently. So forcing versus allowing is like, okay, if I don't— if you don't love what you're selling, like you're excited about it, you could speak fluently about it, like it just, it gets you excited, right? When you think about doing or offering the service to a client, like it naturally just kind of lights you up, like, yes, I can't wait to do this. That's allowing, that's choosing an aligned service.
Yep.
Versus offering an online community or launching a bunch of courses or having 50 different service platforms. Or offering even something as simple, honestly, Bernadette, as like my 3 tiers of service prices.
Yeah.
There's nothing wrong with that. But if you don't love it, you're not gonna sell it.
Right. It's so true.
When you're forcing yourself to do things that are out of alignment, it's hard.
It is.
It's hard to get out of bed in the morning. It's not selling the way that you want it to. You feel unfulfilled in your business. You're, you're searching for more, you're working your ass off, but wondering why my bank account doesn't reflect these things, right? Like, it's, it gets, it snowballs.
Yeah. Or you, like me, you spend $150,000 and 6 months later you're out of there because you just could not feel it.
Yes.
And all of a sudden, you know, there's a big chunk of change that just went down the, you know, toilet. Until you find yourself.
Yeah.
You know?
Yeah.
Yeah.
The important thing here, I think, is to really, like, before you make a decision in anything in your life, in your business, in your friendship circles, whatever you're doing, give yourself the chance to pause and ask, is this what I want? Does this feel right to me? Do I feel aligned with this? Is this something that I can get excited about? Like, is this a hell yes?
Hell yes.
Because if it's not, that's the change starts to happen when you allow yourself to say no.
Yeah.
No, I don't want 3 tiers in my business system because that doesn't feel right to me. No, I don't want to offer 50 services. I really do one thing really well. I don't want to be on 14 different social media accounts because it stresses me out. So I'm going to instead be on 2 really, really well, right? Like, they're little shifts.
Yeah.
You start to, like, come back to yourself, and that's allowing, right? Allowing is giving yourself permission that you never need, but sometimes you need to hear it yourself.
Yeah. Oh, I love that. Get these nuggets. Awesome. Now, would you say no is a big element of your undoing process? Is it— is the no a big part of that?
Yeah, that's where you— that's where you get to start to take your power back. Honestly, that's where you get to reclaim yourself. Because no, I don't want to go to that event. So I just saved myself time and energy. Yeah. No, I don't want to take on that client because it's going to overdo my time and I'm going to be stressed out. No, I don't want to wear that to work because that's just not who I am. Right? Like, there's just, there's so many layers. And that's why I say undoing is a, is a, is a process. It's a, it's a life.
You called it an onion.
Yes, it's an onion. It's a lifestyle, right? There's so many layers to it. And it's, it's, it's, it's really about like, again, putting down that weight. And it's like, okay, where do I want to be more like me? Where do I not feel like myself? Where am I doing things that I feel like I should? Where am I responding or reacting in ways out of fear based off somebody else's, you know, that one person said that one thing that tipped me off for the rest of my life, right? We, a lot of us live with that. One person said one statement about us, that shit plays over and over and over in your head, right? How is that voice playing out in your business? And so when you're thinking about allowing versus forcing, it's like, Where can I say yes to me more, and where can I say no to things that don't align with me anymore? Sweet!
Oh, I love that so much. I love that so much. And I swear to God, you're in my head and, and using every one of my scenarios of what I went through. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's common, you know. That's, that's the thing. Like, it's, um, women often live in silence. We process in silence. There's a competitive nature that gets forced between women in business. There's insecurities that pop up, or if people know about this, then they're going to think less of me, or nobody's going to want to do business with me. And right, like, we're— but the crazy thing is we're all living very similar scenarios.
Yep.
Alone in our own rooms.
It's true.
And I feel insanely compelled to hold a space where we can humanize this stuff because you went through it. And thank goodness you went through the process and you came out bold and beautiful and sharing your wisdom with other women.
And to your point, though, Laura, I find it the most liberating, freeing thing to be so transparent and raw and just naked about all of it. And there is no, like, insecurities or vanities or ego or anything anymore. And you just— you're just like you, you just want everybody to taste that, right?
That's the thing. It's the— you hit the nail on the head. That's exactly what it's about, right? It's not just about services. It's not just about how much money is in your account, right? Like, there's all— those are all important things. But I'm talking about the feeling of freedom.
It's orgasmic.
It is orgasmic. Absolutely. I mean, absolutely orgasmic. When you can feel like yourself and you can— you're standing in your power, you're making decisions that are right for you, you're resting the way that your body needs to rest, you are running your business in a way that feels good, like you're just— you're dressing the way that you want to dress, and you cut off all your hair, or you grew your hair out, or whatever the hell you want to do. When you allow yourself to be yourself, you are fucking magnetic.
Fucking magnetic. You are. I love that.
And that's great for the external, but that feeling from inside, it's almost carefree, right?
Yeah.
Ease to your life. You probably started a business because you wanted more time, money, freedom, flexibility, right? And then you get in the weeds and it gets you get very far away from that alignment. And undoing gets you to that place, right? Like, you can walk easier and you sleep better and you feel more energized by doing less things. And like, you just— you're happy. Yeah, everyone deserves to be happy. And at the core of anything, you deserve to be happy.
Oh, oh, that's so awesome. So what is— can you share with us some of your process, like when you're first engaging with a client? And, and you said they always come to you with a business issue, but then it lands up going in a different direction. So for those of those listening or watching and really wants to understand this undoing process that you, that you go through with your clients, what does that look like?
Yeah, absolutely. So first, I always like to preface to everyone coming into my corner of the world, I am an intuitive. So I feel energies, I can sense, and I love to hold space to make sure that you know that you're feeling seen and heard. And so working with the human and your energies is such an important role for me. And to take the head in the clouds, big energy, wishes, visions, all that stuff, and then And then back it with grounded, practical action, aligned action, not just busywork. Right. So at the, at the, at the base, that's where we're starting.
Yeah.
The undoing process. I can, I can kind of walk you through the simplistic version.
Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Just to give them an idea. And if there's something that they could start working on now before they call or look you up at LauraArra.com.
Absolutely.
Yes. Yes.
So there's 3 simple steps. First of all, I would recommend, and you, you mentioned this at the very, very beginning of the show, is to recognize where am I holding back? Where am I not saying what I need to say? Where am I? Where do I have resistance? Where am I holding back? Like what's, Recognizing that pivotal moment when, like, I'm not doing something that feels right to me.
Yeah.
That recog— when you allow yourself to recognize that is probably more powerful than anything. Because what happens, again, you get caught in, like, this mundane routine. This is how I've always done it thing.
Right.
But as you're working, as you're living, as you're going places, as you're making decisions, Start to recognize, where do I not feel like me? That's powerful because there's power in knowledge. Yeah, when you can start to kind of like shine a light on each one of these things, you're like, oh, oh, I didn't even realize, right? And then that onion can start to open up. The next thing is to release. So release something. If we're talking about too many social media accounts, let go of 5 of them. If we're talking about so many services that you feel overwhelmed and you don't know which one to push or talk, talk about or sell, let yourself get rid of some of them that don't feel right. If we're talking about the way that you dress in your life or your business, go through your closet and pull out everything that doesn't feel like you. Put it in a bag, put it in your car, drive and donate the clothes and let them go.
I have a whole bag over there ready to do that. I undo.
Yes. And for all of you beautiful souls that have the bags still in your trunk from last year, I see you, I hear you, I love you. Let it go.
Yeah, it's so true.
Or ask for help.
Or ask for help. That's even a better one.
And ask someone else to do that for you. That's, that's amazing. So releasing things and people and, and circumstances that just don't align, right? It's— you're, you're creating energetic space. Those clothes, they hold a vibration. They're hanging in your closet, they're in your dresser. And I'm talking about, you know, the jeans that I'll get back into. Look, if you are in a constant battle with yourself and your body and your body image and like I need to be something else other than what I am in this current season of my life. That's, that's negative reinforcement on yourself, majorly.
Yeah.
And you know what, you bought clothes before, and the resources and the, the right things will be there when it's time to buy them again. So let go of all that low vibration stuff, release stuff, right? That's what we're starting to set down, the suitcases That's where we are creating capacity in our life. That is where we are like cleaning slate, as you mentioned earlier, purging. Can be big, can be small, can be everything in between. Yeah, I love a good purge session. Like, I can usually tell when I'm about to level up, um, emotionally, spiritually, financially, in some form or fashion in my life, because I start going through all my shit.
Yeah. That's awesome. That's very cool.
Absolutely. Like, I, I literally just took 3 bags to the donation today. Both my husband and I went through our closets and we were just like, it's time to release. Yeah, we can go to the next, the next level. The last thing is to reclaim, and this is where you are making decisions from an aligned place within you. And I'm putting my hands in the center of my chest because So much of our emotions, so much of our feelings are right here in the center. And so when you are making decisions outside of yourself, you're out here and you're up above and you're over there and you're behind and it's underneath and it's all over the place. It's basically everywhere other than right here in the center of you.
Right, right. Oh, wow. That's very empowering.
I'm glad to hear that.
That is.
It comes back to you, right? The way that you breathe, right? You have this incredible body, the way that your hair lays, the way that you sit in chairs. Like, you are, you are a being. Like, that's incredible.
Yeah, that is.
We get this, we get so wrapped up in everything. When you allow yourself to just feel, how does this make me feel? How do I want to feel? That's a big one. Last time that you asked yourself what you want, in the same way that I asked myself, what does Laura want? I would say, what does Bernadette want?
Right?
What does anyone that's listening— insert your name— what do you want? And then start making decisions from that.
Now, do you find— and I have to dig into this, um, for those listening and viewing— do you find it's that that exact question that you just asked, that is kind of the hardest for them to take the leap on, because especially women.
Yes.
Because all of a sudden they feel selfish and, you know, and they feel as if, you know, no, I have to take care of everybody else. I can't, I can't, you know, put myself first. I can't put myself out there. And I, you know, I can't worry about what I want.
Yes.
Is that what you find from the people that you work with?
It's a big question. And if it makes you feel a little bit nervous or scared or like, ooh, let me pull back. That's normal. But that's also a, a beautiful and perfect way to see where there is resistance, which ultimately has a really big part in being why you are not where you want to be or feeling the way that you want to feel. Yep. And so, yes, it's a big question. Yes, all of those voices start popping up, right? Who do I think that I am? I could never have that. Someone else is already doing those things. I have too many responsibilities. Right? There's— the dialogue could go on for days.
Right.
We are so mean to ourselves in our head. Oh, it's so true. I always say that the voice in your head is the loudest voice that you will ever hear.
Mm-hmm.
So what is she saying? The, the beautiful thing about this process is you get to start to recognize which one is your voice and where other voices have been implanted.
Oh, I love that.
And so those mean things, chances are they're not you. Yeah, because inside of you is a beautiful, playful, energetic little girl that at some point along the way probably got silenced.
Yeah.
Or told to sit down, stop being so big, you're being too loud, who do you think you are, why would you wear something like that? And so those voices, they get implanted and they get loud. And when you start to go through this undoing process, you're like, wow, I didn't, I didn't realize that that's where that was coming from.
Right.
But now, now I can see it. And now I have the opportunity to change that narrative. I have the opportunity to be that fun, old, playful, energetic little girl that's in there. Yeah, I get to be that on the outside now as a grown-ass woman. Awesome.
And you had mentioned it earlier, your clients have— find that opportunity to do all that work and all that, you know, discovery because you create a safe environment for them. I want to make sure that that's really understood because they all might be freaking out right now going, oh my God, like, I'm not telling, you know, I'm not going through this and disclosing and, you know, and letting people see the real me. But you create a really safe space for them to feel very comfortable, maybe not at first, right, to, to start disclosing and doing that undoing.
Yes. You know, it's, it's so important again for me to hold space because a lot of times it, you don't even realize, right? That part of the work that I get to do and that comes so naturally to me is kind of feeling out where some of those blocks and resistances are showing up. And so I am not going to force you to do anything that you're not ready to do. It's a very natural process. I might guide you, I might challenge you, right? Because that's without some sort of level of challenge or, or handholding or just being next to somebody. It's not always so easy to take that step by yourself, right? That's really important, but you don't have to go through anything that you're not ready to go through, right? I— there are a lot of different aspects to life and business and processing. Um, and there are also the right people to talk to about certain things that need unpacked in your life.
Yeah.
What we're looking at is just a holistic way of matching you and your energy to what you really desire in your life and giving yourself the permission to let go of everything and anything that you are ready to, to create the space for it.
I love that. I love that. Because we all only have just this one life to live. So, you know, undo your business and reclaim you.
Yes.
Yes. Okay, so you have an opportunity for anyone that's listening and, and, um, watching to kind of engage with you and to kind of get a feel for all this. Um, so could you share with us a little bit about your Power Link quiz? And then the follow-up discovery call that you would— that you're offering up.
Yeah, absolutely. So I, I've identified after 15 years in business and working with hundreds of entrepreneurs, um, that there are 5 key areas where particularly female entrepreneurs tend to unintentionally give away their power. And it breaks down to their mind, their time, their voice, their presence, or their money. So I built a free quiz So I think it's 11 questions. It'll take you about 10 minutes to do, and it will help you identify which one of those may be your strongest power leak. There's also an option where maybe you're not giving away your power, and so it doesn't mean that there's something wrong with you, right? I want to make sure everyone knows that, right? If something is coming up for you today, know that there's nothing wrong with you. These are simply opportunities for you to be more of yourself. Um, and then a free discovery call. So I love to chat with, with new incredible humans that are ready to take their power back. Um, so I offer a free 30-minute discovery call where, you know, come as you are, no filtration system needed. Um, feel free to share as much or as little as you would like with me, and I'll see what, you know, I'll see what, what aligns for both of us. And if I can help you, I'll make suggestions, and if I can't, I most certainly will get you on to your success.
