Bill from Beyond Fitness Online shows a core and balance exercise using just a light weight like a can of soup. Stand and pass it between your hands, move it around your body, or stand on one foot to make it harder. The same move scales from easy to challenging.

Hi, I'm Bill from Beyond Fitness Online. Today I want to show you a core exercise that's going to help build spinal stability and better core strength and improve your balance at the same time. It's really, really simple to do. All you need is a small weight. You can even start with something like a can of soup if you want to. So let me show you that exercise right here. To begin this exercise, get your feet in a position where you can stand comfortably and pass a light weight back and forth from hand to hand. From there, you can progress it by actually passing the weight around your body, and you'll want to make sure that once you go one way, you also try the other way. Now, in order to begin to progress this, you play with your foot position. You can go feet apart, feet together, or in this case, One foot at a time and go through the same progression with passing it left and right and then passing it around your body one direction. And you can also pass it the other direction or continually change directions for more of a challenge. I hope you found that interesting. What I love about this exercise is that there are a lot of different ways to challenge yourself and progress with it. So give it a try, let me know what you think below, and if you haven't already, please subscribe to my channel. I post new updates every Friday. And until next time, live healthy.
