Do you ever notice that after you do a resistance exercise that sometimes you feel really out of breath and it doesn't really make sense why? This is because your breathing is a variable that you're not taking into account into your exercise, and that's important because for your muscles to contract, for all your organs to function properly, you need to have the appropriate amount of oxygen versus CO2 levels. So you need to account for the oxygen in your body as you're exercising. So 2 things to avoid: one, don't hold your breath, and 2, don't hyperventilate. It's common to just start to try to breathe with the pace of your movement, but instead what you want to do is really decide how slow you're going to breathe. So try this: instead of breathing in-out, try going this way. Breathe in. Breathe out. Give this a try, let me know how it works for you, and follow me for more tips and tricks just like this.
