Hello everybody and welcome to the importance of eating organic food. What is organic food? Organic foods are produced through farming practices that only use natural substances. This avoids all artificial chemicals, hormones, antibiotics, or genetically modified organisms. Now, I want to stop real quick there and talk about GMOs, which have had a massive showing in the media lately. Most GMOs these days are made in order to increase farming, farming practices. Some GMOs are actually good for you. That's beyond what we're getting into in today's video, but it's important to understand that not all GMOs are bad, but if you're not sure, avoid them for now. Organic meat comes from animals fed organic food. That's important. So you want to know what the animal you're eating was fed, and it was not given drugs or steroids, which is very common with what they do with cattle, for example, these days in farming. So organic meat is super important because if they're given drugs and steroids and then you eat that meat, you are getting some amount of that drugs and steroids into your body, which can cause health issues. Organic produce is often richer in nutrients, and that's because the chemicals that they use in conventional produce, it changes the way they grow and it makes them bigger but not necessarily more nutrient. So including antioxidants, there's more antioxidants in foods which help fight diseases, help keep your cells healthy. There's— organic foods may have higher nutritional value than conventional food because Like I just said, the pesticides and things they use will inhibit the way the nutrients are made because they're trying to make them bigger. Plants boost their production of phytochemicals, and these strengthen their resistance to bugs and weeds. Phytochemicals are also really valuable for your body for so many reasons, which again, We're not going to get too much into in this video, but it's really important to get that. So you want to avoid conventional foods because the pesticides can create issues with your thyroid. It can create issues with your blood sugar regulation. It can create allergic reactions. A lot of people are actually allergic to these and don't even realize it. So you get all kinds of negative reactions, a lot of times skin issues. Will pop up. So there's things of that nature. People with allergies to food chemicals and chemicals or preservatives often find that their symptoms will lessen or go away when they go to organic food. So if you're having any of these strange things, if you go completely organic, you may find that these things start to clear up over time. So what to eat organic, start with produce, particularly produce that you're, that you're going to eat the skin So apples, grapes are great examples. If you're having an orange or a banana and you don't want to get organic everything, those are the ones maybe to start with conventional. But you will get more out of the food if it's organic. Organic meats I'm huge on because again, you don't want the extra hormones or antibiotics input into your system when you eat them. So that's why it's so important because if you're putting bad foods into your Bad chemicals into your food, then you eat the food, you're putting those bad chemicals into yourself. So what I want you to do is try getting organic food. It's a little bit more expensive, but it can be way, way less expensive if you don't have to pay the medical bills down the road. It can be way better for all of the symptoms that you could have otherwise. It can improve your energy, it can improve your health. So give organic food a try and see if you notice a difference. And we'll talk a little bit more about vegetables in the next video, and I'll see you over there.
