Hi, I'm Bill from beyondfitnessonline.com. Today I want to show you a simple drill you can do that can help to balance out any strength differences you have from left side to right side of your body. It can also help to improve the coordination that you may have with any of your movements, and it can also lower your sympathetic nervous system and bring down your blood pressure help you to relax. This drill is called a vestibulo-ocular reflex cancellation. Now, we'll just call it a VOR cancellation for short. In another video, I'll show you what a VOR is, but what in this video I'm gonna do is I'm gonna show you how to cancel that out first. And the reason is, is because this drill can play a huge role in really getting yourself back on track if you feel stuck with your workouts Or if you're having issues with dizziness and balance. So it's a really simple drill. All you're going to need is your thumb, just right here. And if you want to, you could use a pen instead, but you just need something to look at that you can put arm's length away. And I'm going to show you that drill right here. And if you have any questions, let me know below. To do this drill, you're going to extend your arm in front of you and stare at your thumb. You're going to move your arm and your head in unison together in any direction you want. The key is to keep the eyeball in the center of the eye socket. You can go left and right, up and down, or diagonally. Depending on which side of the body you're trying to work on will determine which direction and which side you go to. Things you want to avoid are getting out of sync with the head and the arm like you see here. You don't want the eyes to have to go further than the head can go. You also want to try and keep the head moving and not just the body. However, you can incorporate the spine if it's too difficult for you, and I recommend doing that with your hands together to keep everything in line. I hope you found that drill helpful. Let me know in the comments below how that went for you. And if you have any other questions, please leave them below. If you haven't already, please don't forget to subscribe to my channel. I post new videos every Friday. And until next time, live healthy.
