The best technique to reduce swelling and improve your vitamin D levels

Bill Daniels shows how to stimulate the lymphatic valves below your collarbone with gentle finger pressure and belly breathing to reduce swelling and improve vitamin D absorption. The technique targets two valves that drain different parts of your body and can work within minutes.

Today, I'm going to teach you how to relieve excess swelling in your body, absorb more of your vitamins, and reduce pain with one simple exercise. Hi, I'm Bill, owner of beyondfitnessonline.com, and if you like my content, please subscribe to my channel. I post new videos every Friday, and it's all about thinking outside of the box and ways to get you to your ultimate health and fitness goals. Now today I wanna talk to you about your lymphatic system. Now if you're not familiar with what the lymphatic system is, it's very simple. It has several jobs. It is the garbage collector in your body. It goes through anywhere there's been an injury or tissue damage and helps to clean that up. It brings swelling to that area to protect it, and it also helps absorb your fat-soluble vitamins into your body. That's your vitamins A, D, E, and K. Now, if we look at how the lymphatic system runs through your body, it's very similar to your cardiovascular system. Now, your cardiovascular system is your arteries and veins that run through your body to pump the blood, and that is pumped by your heart. Now, your lymphatic system has all kinds of vessels that run through your body as well, as well as lymph nodes. Now, a lot of times, People say, oh yeah, the lymph nodes, like those get swollen right here whenever I get sick. That's kind of what happens when your body's trying to create an immune response or a cleanup to an area in the body that needs some help. So the blood has red cells and white cells, and essentially the red cells are taken out of the blood and that is what creates the fluid within the lymphatic system. And that runs through the lymph vessels and into the lymph nodes. You also have 2 lymph valves right here on each side that circulates the lymph fluid back into the bloodstream, and that's to remove the garbage from the body. The major difference between the cardiovascular system and the lymphatic system is that the cardiovascular system has a pump, the heart. The lymphatic system is pumped from movement Primarily through diaphragmatic breathing. Now I've done other posts in the past talking about the importance of diaphragmatic breathing, but when you're breathing in the belly, that's helping to pump the lymphatic system so that it can do its job more effectively. Now you may not have the appropriate circulation happening in your lymphatic system, and you'll know this if you get chronically ill. That could be an issue with the lymphatic system. If you are low in your fat-soluble vitamins, especially vitamin D, but also A, E, or K, you may not be pumping your lymphatic system efficiently enough. And if you have chronic swelling in different areas of your body for no reason, there may be an issue with the lymphatic system. Now it's really simple to get that moving again. There's 2 parts to this. The first part, which I've talked about in other blogs, is getting into that belly breathing and pumping with the diaphragm. And if you're interested in that, I will post in the comments or in the description of this video the link to that video. But we also want to get the lymphatic system pumping, particularly through the valves. You have 2 valves. One is significantly larger than the other. Okay. The one on the right is smaller, and it pumps out the fluid that runs through the lymphatic system on the right side of your face, the right arm, and the right rib cage. The left vessel is much larger and does everything else. So the entire lower body from below the ribs and everything on the left side of your body is your left Valve from your lymphatic system. So most of the time you'll be working on the left, but if you have an issue like swelling, say in your right elbow, then you're going to want to work on the right valve. So here's where you find these. You have little nodules or little knobs at the end of your collarbone right here. And what you'll do is, if you're going to work on the right side, for example, you'll put one finger right on that and you'll go 2, 3 fingers right across that collarbone, just below the collarbone. And that right there is where the valve is. So what you'll do is you'll push that valve in and out towards the shoulder and maybe even up a little. And you can either hold it or you can pump it. And you couple that with belly breathing. And what will happen is the lymphatic system will start to move better. The more it moves, the better off you'll be in terms of relieving the symptoms we discussed earlier. What I've often seen with people is they'll come in saying, oh, my knee is swollen, or my elbow is swollen for no reason. And before I do any exercises with them, this is the first thing I'll do is I'll hold this for them and teach them some breathing. And in about 5 minutes, that swelling is sometimes completely gone. It's almost always significantly reduced. So it gets that system moving and it works so much more efficiently. So give that a try, comment below and let me know if it worked for you, or if you have any questions about it, and until next time, live healthy.
