I got a fun game for you to play that will reduce your stress and improve your auditory conditioning. Hi, I'm Bill, owner of beyondfitnessonline.com, and if you're new to my channel, please don't forget to click the logo right here and subscribe. So today what I want to talk to you about is another way to reduce your stress. Now we've talked about the midbrain in the past and how vision integrates with that, and if you haven't seen any of those videos, You can check this out right here. So inside the midbrain, we talked about how certain nerves go in there. And the midbrain— that's important because the midbrain is where the stress response begins. But also in the midbrain, we've got something called the inferior colliculus. Now that's a little bump in there, and what that primarily does is helps you to understand where a noise is coming from. So you hear something off in the distance. What the hell was that? And you're like, oh, that came from over there. Now, that can be very sharp for some people, and for some people, not so good. And if it's not so good, you're going to want to improve that, and by improving that, you will reduce your stress. So the game is really simple. Here's how this is going to be done. You're going to have somebody stand with their eyes closed right in front of you. You're going to stand about 2 feet back. You're going to hold a hand up, and you're going to snap and hold your hand there. Snap. The other person with their eyes closed is going to put their finger up and point to where they thought it came from. They're going to open their eyes and they're going to look and see how accurate they were. You will be amazed at how inaccurate some people are. You might snap up here and somebody will point down here. You might snap over here and somebody will point over here. If that's the case, you need more work on that. But it gets to be a fun game because when you have a group of people doing that, it gets to be really funny and everyone has a good time with it. It's super interesting to see how you do. Get a partner, try it out. If you have any questions or comments, leave it below. Let me know how this worked out for you. And until next time, live healthy.
