Guardian roofing started in 2005 and the dead of winter, which, if anybody's watching this, don't start a roofing company in the dead of winter.
One of our best ideas. My name is Matt Swanson. I am one of the owners and founders of Guardian Roofing.
My name is Lori Swanson and I'm the owner, founder and president of Guardian Roofing. I'm a second generation roofer. My dad owned a roofing company when I was growing up. I got to go out with the roofing crew in junior high and high school. So after college, Matt and I went to work for my dad's company and then in 2005 started Guardian.
This family is one of our core values and I think that's the biggest overarching thing that's allowed us to continue to grow. And we use those same values with our employees that we use when we're working with our. That's one of the reasons that we've been able to sustain our success over time.
Thank you for calling Guardian. This is Lauren. How can I help you? My name is Lauren Ogle. I've been with Guardian for eight years and I'm the internal operations manager. I really wanted to be a part of a company that I could grow with. I just fell in love with Guardian and they've provided opportunities and growth.
My name is Juan Soniga. My title here with the company is production manager. I've been with the company about six years. Here at Guardian, what we do differently than our competitors is we truly care about the client. From the first call from our sales coordinators, then our sales reps going out there, being transparent as possible.
There's no agenda. When we come out to somebody's house, there really isn't an agenda. It's whatever is best for them.
We just really wanted to focus on helping homeowners and we knew we could set ourselves apart with our client for life philosophy.
We want to keep helping the client, like, hey, we're going to install your roof. But in addition to that, we want to keep, you know, maintaining it so that way you don't have to replace a few years from now.
There's a lot of times where a client can call in with a question or maybe they need an estimate, but they're not sure what for. That we can kind of look and see what's happened up until now and that makes us more of a partner with them versus them starting over.
A software like Service Titan helps us support the client for life mentality because you can see everything start to finish. It's all right there. You've got your reports where you can see your old data, the equipment to see how old something is to do outbound calling to people.
Before we even sold one roof, we were trying to get our name out, and we had someone reach out to us and say, can you donate a new roof? And we're like, sure. We haven't sold one yet, but we can donate one.
Matt and Lori and Guardian have always worked with other companies like Habitat for Humanity to work through them and provide services for people in need. And as time went on, we decided we wanted to bring that in house.
We formed the Halo Project so that we can provide a new roof for a family in need. And it's really been a great way to give back to the community and then also involve the community and team.
We give back to one family every year that really needs it. Everyone from the technicians to the office want to lend a hand. They want to go out there and help.
We work really hard at just doing the right thing.
It was definitely humble beginnings. We started with one roof at a time, and we knew we could extend the life of the roof. And then when they needed a new roof, when that opportunity presented itself, we would be the contractor of choice. Now maintain that new roof and just continue to care for their home.
