Field Features with Margaux | ST-62 Release

Margaux walks through ServiceTitan's ST-62 release for technicians. Invoices now send automatically based on office settings, equipment history filters by installed vs replaced, and the app calculates pricing on the fly. The Knowledge Base is now mobile-optimized.
Hey there. I'm Margot from Servicetitan. Today we're walking through the Release notes for ST62 and how they'll affect you as a technician. On the mobile side, we've got lots of features today, so let's get going. First feature is very exciting. It's something you've all been asking for. Automatically sending invoices. Now, keep in mind, this is all set up on the office side so they can set it up by business unit, job types, or even by specific technicians that it should always send it for. So make sure you're communicating with your office to understand when it's going to be sent out. Now, let's take a look at what you can see on the mobile side to see if it's going to be sending out on your behalf. So, as you can see here, there are different tags. So on this job for Tanya Wilson, there's a tag here that says do not auto send invoice. So if you see that tag on one of your jobs, that means it will not automatically be sent. So if it's something you need to be sending out, that's your clue that it won't be doing it automatically for you. Now, on this job that I'm currently in, let's go take a look. If I go to close out this job complete job, as you can see at the top here, the very last line on this box invoice will be sent to customer. So that means this invoice will be sent as soon as this job has been marked as complete. All right, the next feature we're going to look at are related to pieces of equipment. So we're going to go into the history tab. Existing equipment. Now, we've previously talked about how there is now a new filter here so you can see installed equipment versus replaced equipment. So you can make sure you're seeing what's currently on the location. When you're looking, we're just going to go into any of these things here. And now there are new custom fields that are just for equipment types. Once you click into the piece of equipment, go ahead and click the three dots in the top right corner, hit edit. And now you can see the custom fields that you're allowed to edit. So this new feature is allowing you to have custom fields specifically for equipment type. So in the top here you can see that the equipment type is a furnace here. So on the opposite side we created a furnace custom field. So you only need to fill this out if what you're looking at is a furnace. So now I could go in here into this and put things like filter sizes or something that is helpful only for furnaces. Hopefully that will keep things a little bit more organized so you don't have a ton of custom fields that aren't necessary for this certain type of equipment. One last thing we're going to look at for equipment is if you're trying to link your service tasks. So when you hit Select Equipment to service, it's now only going to show those installed pieces of equipment. So if there's a replaced piece of equipment that's no longer on the location, you won't accidentally select it. This next feature is just for those customers who use client specific pricing or dynamic pricing, so hopefully you know if that's you or not. There's this calculate button here that usually you had to click every time you added new items. Now it's going to auto calculate for you so you don't have to remember to select that button. Hopefully that just makes your day a little bit easier. One last thing you have to click the last thing we're going to discuss is related to our Knowledge Base articles. So if your company ever linked you to these Knowledge Base articles. Previously it was a little bit hard to read depending on the size of your tablet or your phone, but now we have made them as mobile friendly as possible. So now if you're on a tiny little phone or a huge tablet, it's going to be easier for you to read. So when you need to read these articles to understand what you're trying to do on the app, it's easy for you to understand. That's it for us today. Thank you so much for watching and have a great rest of your day.
