Private equity is reshaping the HVAC industry with mixed results. Some deals have strengthened companies and improved operations, while others have created challenges for workers and service quality. The industry remains resilient because heating and cooling systems are essential infrastructure.
So what are you hearing from your readers about the private equity trends? We have a pretty good mix as far as our readership of those who are independent, those who are owned by a private equity backed platform, but then also people at the private equity level themselves. There are clearly pros to I think what the private equity dollars have done and are doing to the industry, they're clearly upside to now. With that said, just like everything else, you know, in every other industry that private equity has gone into over the past decades, I mean, yeah, sure, there are downsides. There are bad actors, by the way, that also give it overall kind of a bad name. We're talking about private equity as if it was just one entity. I mean, there are plenty of companies, you know, all of which are different to some degree. I hear a good mix. There are horror stories, but then I think there are a ton of positives. These industries are just set up for tons of success over the long term because structurally, it's not that they're not disruptible, but they're much more insulated than other industries to a lot of things that happen around the world, that happen in the economy because of just how mission critical they are.
