Notes BO so first on these notes under accounting improvements, see accurate work in progress numbers with the new hold and completed project status filters in the WIP report. So previously, projects that were in the hold or completed status didn't show up on the report no matter how you filtered it. But now those filters have been added so you can include projects that are on hold or have been completed as well. You'll also see a new date filter that lets you specify if you want to see projects that were completed on or after a particular date, with 90 days prior to the date of pulling the report being the default. By the way, just so nobody's confused, not everybody has the WIP report. It's part of project tracking, which is a set of features mostly used by new construction and some commercial companies. All right, next, under adaptive capacity, get visibility into CSR adoption with the new Adaptive Capacity Utilization Report template. So basically this is a new data set in reporting called Adaptive Capacity Scheduling Utilization that gives you insight into how particular jobs were booked. So you can see specifically what tool was used to book the job. Was it adaptive capacity or was it booked some other way? This will be really handy for anybody who's trying to implement adaptive capacity. As you are trying to go through that change management, you can see how things are being booked and when they're not being booked. With adaptive capacity, you can look into that and see why maybe the CSRs are just forgetting about it, or maybe there's some other issue with your setup that's making it difficult or impossible to use in certain scenarios. Now, this is a new data set, not a new report that's inherently going to show up for you. So if you want this report, you should create it off of that data set. To do that, you would go into your Reporting tab, click on Create Report, just select all for the report type, and then you'll select the Adaptive Capacity Scheduling Utilization data set and finish out the workflow from there to create the report. Next, if you so choose, you can now keep business unit groups active even when adjustable capacity planning is turned off. So, okay, Adjustable capacity planning is the predecessor to adaptive capacity. And business unit groups were a way to group together business units. And it was something that was specifically built for adjustable capacity planning. The old feature. It was built to help alleviate some of the limitations of that old feature. But now with adaptive capacity, business unit groups are no longer necessary. However, some people did want to keep them anyway for various reasons. That's none of my business, but you can do that now. One reason somebody might want to keep business unit groups on even when switching over to adaptive capacity is just to have a really quick and easy transition over without really messing with any of the new settings. If you keep the business unit groups, you minimize the new stuff that you have to set up that would make those unnecessary. And so you get a pretty quick and easy behavior parity. Like it just starts behaving the same way as the old thing did. Next, we have new adaptive capacity rule builder enhancements to help better match technician types and shift types. So before, rules applied to all technicians and shifts, but now you're able to fine tune the rules using shift type or technician type as conditions. Also, now, in addition to using arrival windows as conditions for rules, you can also just select an exact time range that you input manually. Next, we now have adjustments information in the availability drawer. So the availability drawer is that little fly out that you get when you're on the capacity report. Under scheduling and capacity reporting, if you click into any particular time slot, you'll get that little fly out or drawer with some additional information. And now as part of the information in that drawer, you can see how adjustments both manual and automatic through strategic rules are affecting that time slot. So you can see clearly if something is adding or removing hours from that capacity. And I think it's going to be majorly helpful, especially if you're just implementing adaptive capacity, because it's going to help you troubleshoot by showing you exactly what's affecting that capacity. So if something's not looking the way you expect, you can see why. Next, under dispatching improvements, you can now auto adjust appointment lengths on the dispatch board. Plus the side panel on the weekly view is now adjustable in size. So this is kind of two notes in one. Let's, let's break this down. Ooh, and this is y' all item. Need my hat. Howdy. So the auto adjusted appointments. So you know how when you put an appointment on the dispatch board and then a technician goes out to that appointment, let's say they finish half an hour early. Well, they're gonna have that little like blue line on the dispatch board that shows when they actually dispatched, arrived and then finished. But the appointment length itself, that bubble is going to stay the same length even though they finished early. But now, at least if you choose to enable this setting, it is optional, but you can have it so that if the technician finishes early, the appointment bubble itself on the dispatch board will shorten to the actual length that the technician was there. This could be helpful for a few reasons. One being just very visual clutter. If you're being really efficient with your dispatch board, then when a technician finishes early, you give them another job right then and there. And then you end up with two appointment bubbles stacked on top of each other because the beginning of the next appointment is kind of overlapping the tail of the last appointment that got finished early, even though that tail doesn't really need to be there because they actually weren't there for that amount of time. So now you can just cut that tail off so that the appointments are next to each other in a straight line versus having to stack. The other reason this is really helpful is that it gives features like adaptive capacity and even more accurate read of what your true capacity is. This auto adjustment, by the way, I'm talking about it on the end, but it affects the start and the end. It will just actually reflect when the technician was there. Now again, this feature is optional and it's going to be off by default. So if you want to enable it, you would go into your global settings and then under dispatch board you'll see a section called Appointment duration and there will be a toggle switch there. Auto adjust job appointments to actual duration. Okay, and then the second half of this note, you can now adjust the size of the side panel in the weekly view. So dispatchers can now resize the job message side panel on the right. That way they can tailor their screen layout for their particular preferences and screen size and preferences are stored per user. Howdy y'.
All.
Alright, next under dispatching, and this one's labeled as coming soon, meaning it's coming in one of the minor releases. So this is release 74, but there's also going to be a 74.1, a 74.2. Those are the minor releases, so you're not going to see this one right away, but it is a y' all item. So I wanted to go ahead and call it out here. Soon you will be able to track every non job event update with the new non job event audit trail. So of course before there was no clear record of who changed what when it came to non job events. But soon you'll be able to see a full history of edits, including names, times and exactly what was changed. This includes updates to times, technicians, visibility, settings and more. This has been a pretty long running request. You guys love a good audit trail and I've seen it come up a couple of times in the community pretty recently. Looking at you, Jackie Gold. So did Jackie and everyone else who asked for this feature. Howdy y'.
All.
Alright, next. And this is under the Enterprise Hub section, but there's also a non Enterprise Hub version later in the notes, so I'm just gonna lump them together here in this one section. ServiceTitan now supports MFA or Multi Factor Authentication. So if you're living in the modern world, then you've used Multi Factor Authentication before. It's that thing where you log in and then before it actually lets you in, it's gonna send you a code that you have to put in. This offers a significant enhancement to security because now more than just your password is necessary to gain access to your account. So Multi Factor Authentication is not going to be by default required for everybody. It is instead going to be an option that managers can enable. So in Enterprise Hub under User Management, you'll see an option for Manage mfa and you would want to give that to everybody who you want to be able to make changes to this. Or when creating a new user, you'll also see a new Security section with an option to enable Multi Factor Authentication. Similarly, for non Enterprise Hub users, there will be a new permission called Allow Manage mfa. And then anybody who has the permission to manage Multi Factor Authentication, you can manage it in two ways. You can manage it per user or by a kind of Unified Security Panel. The latter would be my recommendation. I think it's just easier to do it from there. So you can go into Settings, Security and mfa. That will give you a filterable table of all of your users, both Office and Technician. This works for both, by the way, and you can toggle MFA on or off for your users from there. This also comes with a feature that lets you lock user accounts without deactivating them. So in that same table where you manage the Multi Factor Authentication, you can click on that little kebab menu and then from there you'll see an option to lock the user account, basically stopping that user from being able to access the account without deactivating the account altogether. Okay, next, under Inventory Improvements template, price book items now maintain all of their details from estimate to invoice so template price book items are those items you can put into your price book to serve as a miscellaneous item. Basically, Text will be able to edit details like the price and the description of that particular item, but not the rest of the price book. So you don't have to give them permission to edit everything. But before, those items could lose key info when moving through the estimate PO to invoice process. But now all of these details carry over through every step of the workflow. Okay, next, under payment improvements, Tap to Pay now offers a multi device experience. So if you're on the newer version of Service Titan Payments, then you have Tap to pay, meaning you can have your customers just pay using the NFC chip that's built into a phone and they can just tap their card or use Apple Pay or something like that just through the chip without having to use a separate device. However, a lot of technicians use iPads and iPads don't have NFC chips. And so it was kind of a hassle to switch over from the iPad to the phone to get the payment taken. So now that process is expedited. When they go to take a Tap to Pay payment from the iPad, it's going to give them a QR code that they can then scan with their phone and that will automatically take their phone into the place where they can just take the payment. Okay, next, under reporting improvements, you can now access past benchmark reports from the reporting page. So the benchmark report is that quarterly Titan Intelligence powered report that's available to all eligible Service Titan customers that provides an understanding of your business's position compared to similar businesses like yours. Previously, if you wanted to see a past benchmark report, you would have to contact your CSM for that, but now you can just download them directly. When you go into your reporting page, you'll see a benchmark report section in that side panel. Okay, next, under service agreements, we have the new recurring visits feature. So now when you're setting up a service agreement, when you are adding in a visit, you'll see a new recurrence option where you can set it to repeat, meaning you no longer have to use the copy function to duplicate the visit. And from there you have multiple flexible options to choose the cadence. So you could go daily and have it go daily for the entire agreement duration or for specific date ranges. You could do it weekly and repeat it on specific days of the week. You could go monthly and select how many months you want in between each visit. And you can even select a particular day of the month that you want it to happen. So you could say like, I want it to happen on the first Monday, for example. So there's a lot of flexibility there. You can build out your visits exactly how you want them. You can do it much faster than before. Next. Service agreements now offer per visit pricing. So previously you couldn't directly enter a price per visit. Instead, service agreement pricing was always calculated using markups and surcharges on top of your labor and material costs. And that is still a choice. But now you can also directly input a cost per visit. You're also able to assign different prices per visit. For example, it can be $1,000 for a big initial visit and then 250 for each quarterly visit after that. And this works with all existing billing schedules, by the way. Per visit pricing also allows you to clearly show the cost per visit to the customer versus just the total service agreement price, which offers more price clarity and avoids sticker shock. All right, next, Under Titan Advisor, you can now view both major and minor releases in the Titan Advisor calendar. So in Titan Advisor there's a calendar that shows you when releases are coming out, and previously only major releases were shown. So we talked earlier about how this is release number 74, but there's going to be a 74.1 and a 74.2. Those minor releases weren't shown, but now that's no longer the case. You can see both when minor and major releases will be dropping. Okay, next, Under Titan Intelligence, Field Assistant is now generally available. So this was shown off a little bit at last. Pantheon Field Assistant is a chatbot for technicians out in the field, so they can ask it questions in natural language and get answers. Access to this is controlled by a permission by the way, and it is on by default. So assuming that permission stays enabled on the mobile side, you will see a link to Launch Field Assistant. So right now with this initial launch, Field Assistant only has access to information within your Service Titan account. So they can ask it questions about the customer history, like has this unit broken down before? Or has there been previous water leak issues with this unit or whatever. Or they could ask it a question like hey, how many open estimates does this customer have? They could also just type in customer information and get a overview of that customer including things like their lifetime revenue, any unpaid balances, how many locations they have, how many open estimates they have, the last job completed, et cetera. So like I said, right now it does just have access to information that is in Servicetitan, but equipment information and troubleshooting will be coming as Options in the future. All right, next, under Scheduling Pro and labeled as Coming soon. So again, coming in one of the minor releases, you'll soon have the option to turn on Call center mode in Scheduling Pro. So before, the scheduler always saved user progress and had question limits that couldn't be changed. But now you can enable a mode that lets CSR and call center agents use the scheduler as sort of a scripting tool to book customers through. This kind of helps formalize a way that people were using Scheduling Pro anyway, which was for call centers to book calls in Service Titan directly without actually having direct access to their Service Titan account. So that's now a fully supported use case with a dedicated mode. Next, under Contact Center Pro, book more jobs automatically with virtual voice agents. So virtual Voice agents are AI CSRs that can talk to your customers and either book jobs directly in Service Titan or take a note depending on the situation and your user preferences. So you can use this for overflow. If all your CSRs are busy, the customer can have the option to just talk to the AI agent or it can also be helpful for after hours. Next, under Dispatching Early Access, we have a y' all item which is the new dispatch Activity center. So right now on the dispatch board you've got your messaging panel on the left that you can open up to manage your technician messages. And then separately there's that bell icon that opens up that sort of outdated looking notification center. So the dispatch Activity center brings all of that into one unified experience. So you'll have both your notifications and messages within one singular side panel. Both will be filterable for red and unread, and you can also collapse and expand them if you want one of them out of the way. You can also apply filters to filter by business unit or teams. So dispatcher can get stuff out of the way that's not relevant to them. And there is a quick shortcut to mark everything as red. And again, that is just early access right now. So if you would like to partake in the early access program and have early access to that, reach out to your csm. All right, next, under early Access we have the new crew scheduling feature to schedule multi day construction jobs. So it's only early access. I'm not going to do a full demo of this just yet, but this crew scheduling experience enables bulk scheduling of multi day jobs for construction crews across multiple technicians. So it's a purpose built interface tailored specifically to the unique workflows of residential and commercial construction teams. So it allows you to assign jobs to crews and set roles like foreman or apprentice, as well as see gaps or overlaps for the week. If that sounds interesting to you and you would like to participate in the early access, reach out to your csm. Okay, next, under Forms and Media early access, organize and manage your job files better with the new document management feature. So with this feature, the document section on a project page separates out documents and images from forms. It also allows you to create folder structures and save those folder structures as templates so you don't have to recreate the same folder structures for every project. It's just early access. So I'm not going to go into much more granular detail than that, but it is a pretty substantial upgrade for document management. And this one does have a form to fill out if you want to participate in the early access, and I'll leave a link to that form in the description box down below. Okay, next, under Job Planning and management early access, we have Ya ya ya y' all item so you can in early access streamline your work with project, job and task templates. So to create these templates you go into your settings and then under Operations and templates and you'll see three tabs there for project, job and task templates. This is really useful and they actually stack really well. So for example, you could create job templates where you're presetting things like the job type of the business unit. You could go ahead and put in a templatized summary, you could add tags, multiple options there. And then under that you see you have an option to add task templates. So task templates referring to the built in service titan task manager. So you could go ahead and preset things like the task name, the business unit, the task type, the source. I'm especially fond of this feature for the task management because there are a lot of fields there that get kind of arduous to fill out. And then when you're creating creating a project template, not only can you pre fill in things like the project type and the business unit and all of that stuff, but you can also assign job templates and task templates to that project template so that when you use the project template, all of the job templates and the tasks also pre populate for that project, which if you use projects a lot would save you a ton of time. But even if you're not somebody who uses projects a lot like you're not in commercial or construction, I think the task templates are still going to be super useful for pretty much everybody. And when you're creating a task, there will just be an option to choose from one of your pre made templates. Once again, just Early Access Right now this is another one that has a form to fill out if you want to participate and I'll leave that in the description box down below. And finally, under Early Access for Scheduling Pro, you can now collect a card on file in advance through Scheduling Pro. So before you had to manually request payment details after a customer booked online. But now in Early Access, Scheduling Pro allows you to collect a payment method upfront as a required or optional step during the booking process. But anyways, that's all I got for today. Be sure to hit like if you liked this video and found it valuable and leave me a comment down below. That's the stuff that keeps me employed. Enjoy your summer. Peace.
