A short monologue from a YouTube video advising HVAC contractors that they can charge premium hourly rates ($600/hr) by focusing on customer experience and thorough service rather than quick, low-effort repairs. The speaker argues that full inspections, clear explanations, and offering options lead customers to accept and appreciate higher prices.

Well, most contractors don't think you can charge over $600 an hour and still have raving five star reviews. I've seen it. I've done it hundreds of times. But here's the thing. It's not about how fast you did the job or what part you changed. It's about the customer's experience. If you just slap in a capacitor, hand them a bill, they'll probably feel ripped off. But if you slow down and do a full inspection, walk them through everything you found, and give them options, now it's their decision. And what's their choice? They're not just okay with it, they actually appreciate it.
