Short motivational talk exploring personal control, influence, and acceptance using a ‘CIA’ model: C = what I control (daily mindset and responses), I = what I influence, A = what’s outside my control. Emphasizes self-awareness—holding up a mirror to daily thoughts, habits, routines—as a foundation before life-level decisions like career or money.
Calls it CIA. And the C in the CIA is what do I control? And then the I is what do I influence? And then the A, the outer circle is kind of what's outside my control. And ultimately that piece around what do I control is my daily response to what's going on, you know, in terms of my mindset and this idea of just getting much more, you know, tuned in on what am I thinking on the day to day. Where's my life out of kilter with what I'd like it to be? What are some of the stories that are recycling around my head? Where do I feel that I've, you know, got some strong bases and successes where maybe if I got unhealthy habits or I'm lacking a routine that is enough to. So there's a kind of foundational piece, I think, even before you get into what am I going to do with my life? How am I going to earn my money? For me, it really starts around holding up a mirror and just getting to grips with what is, what is this, you know, what's going on in here for me now?
