EVENT DEBRIEF - WALK AND TALK - #1 | WHOLE MAN ACADEMY

A short debrief-style monologue (YouTube) from the Whole Man Academy host describing recent in-person events: a Mastermind meeting and a Holdman Academy dinner in Winchester, travel between Manchester and the Cotswolds, and upcoming podcast recordings. Themes include men's meetups, community-building, freedom from office life, and plans for a Cotswolds men's meetup and podcast release schedule.
Okay, so I am back in the Cotswolds after traveling up to, or I should say down to Winchester. You can tell I'm in the Cotswolds, can't you? All the lovely buildings around. So we had a little trip down to Winchester on. What day was it? On Thursday last week, which is great. So we had a Mastermind event during the day when there were seven or eight of us talking about business and optimisation and impact of people and money and all sorts of things like that, and talking a lot of nonsense, as guys would do. We're professionals at that. And the other thing we did was host a Holdman Academy dinner straight afterwards in Winchester for. We had eight guys come along. In fact, we could have had 14 at one point, but various people had to drop out and got things and illnesses and yada, yada, yada, the usual shit that comes up for men. But it was a great dinner. And I think the important thing was the dinner is just bringing guys together from all kind of walks of life, real kind of mix of chaps that come along, some interest in football, copywriting in property law, all these different things. But it was a great opportunity for guys to just get together, talk, have a laugh, have a beer or a burger or I jerked some chicken, which you'll be pleased to know, and it was bloody great. So the thought is to have the next Holman Academy event or dinner, I should say probably up in the Cotswolds near where I live. So we'll be bringing a bit more information on that as we. As we decide on a date. Nice little, nice little Land Rover going past. Hold on. Always like a nice green one like that. Good for kids, dogs, guns and anything else you could fit in. Apart from that. Then I was in Manchester and then back down for the weekend. But today it gave me a thought because try not to get run over. Today was one of those days where you go meet your mate for a coffee first thing in the morning to talk about all things to do with life and men and mindset, etc. And that's one of the things I never got a chance to do when I worked in the city because you're always working, working, working. And I didn't have that freedom to say, I'm not working this morning, I'm going to go out and do this, that and the other without booking time off and having to ask permission, can I have a few days off, please? So I wonder for you how much freedom is one of your kind of, you know, the important values in life these days instead of being told what to do, when to do it, and you must sit at your desk for that amount of time. Anyway, so what else? We've got two podcasts that I'm recording this week. First one was the one last week which we had a bloody power cut midway through the Another nice landrat there. See? Old but beautifully formed. Yeah, we had a power cut 2020 minutes through our or 25 minutes through our podcast interview with Aidan Lee. So we're going to be re recording that one on. Yeah. Tomorrow and Tuesday and releasing that this week. And then on Wednesday I'm interviewing David Key, who is a master practitioner, NLP life coach and a friend as well. He's been on the podcast before. We've got plenty to talk about and that will be coming out in two weeks time. So plenty going on here at the Whole Man Academy. And again we will be releasing dates of our ideas for the for the Cotswold Men's Meetup in the coming days once I look at the diary and get permission. So that should do for now. Look out for the podcast this week. Plenty more posts to come. And remember, the world needs strong men.
