Can small events cause PTSD, or is it only big traumas? Well, it's not the size of the event that matters, it's the size of the impact that does. Something that looks small to others can feel massive to somebody else. So trauma is anything that overwhelms your ability to feel safe or in control. So events like emotional neglect, criticism, humiliation can cause PTSD. Those things are typically called small t traumas, but their effects can be just as deep or even greater than a quote unquote big event. What really matters at the end of the day is how your body stores it, not what it looks like on paper. If it affects you now, it's big for you, and you deserve healing. And not only do you deserve it, it's possible. If you want to learn how, make sure to subscribe and watch some of my longer videos.
