Can trauma change your personality? Now, this is very interesting. The answer is yes and no. Well, first you would really have to define what personality is, because there are different conceptions of personality. But the short answer is yes. PTSD can make you a much more angry person. It can make you a much more isolated person, much more fearful person, which will then change how you interact and react with the world around you and with the people around you. So from an outward perspective, it would look like your personality would radically change. But it doesn't mean it radically changes forever, which is why I say yes and no, because your personality can change. You can become a more angry person, a more anxious person, a more jumpy person, fearful person, but you can also revert back to your base true self. That's the most important thing to know is that you can actually return to who you truly are, your true personality, without those, all those negative reactions. And if you wanna learn tools on how to actually do that, make sure to subscribe, because I can't explain everything over a short, but I hope this helps.
