Brad Schipke says PTSD doesn't fade with time alone. Untreated trauma gets suppressed and worsens. Real recovery means processing the emotional wound itself, which can stop the core symptoms: constant fear, panic, hypervigilance.

Does PTSD ever fully go away? It can, but it doesn't for everybody. So PTSD doesn't disappear because time passes or you wait for it to go away. PTSD heals when you fully process the trauma underneath it. A lot of people think and are told the lie that time heals all wounds, but it doesn't. If anything, it just makes it worse. And really what you do when you allow time to heal is you're just suppressing the emotions down further. So to actually heal, you need to allow the emotion and allow the trauma to come to the surface so you can fully process it and fully release it. And when you're able to do that, that means no more constant fear, panic, or hypervigilance, and all of your symptoms are gone. It's not fast or painless, but it's absolutely possible, and it's absolutely worth it. To learn how to process trauma at the root, make sure to subscribe and watch some of my longer videos.
