How do you stop being triggered from PTSD? Well, there's 2 steps that you need to follow if you want to eliminate triggers from your life for good. The first one is learning how to manage your symptoms. So this involves learning coping tools, management skills that help you gain control, gain immediate control over your symptoms so that the triggers that you do experience and the emotions that you do experience are diminished. It doesn't get rid of them, but it is very important to gain control over your situation and it can give you a sense of control over your life as well. So that's the first part, learning the coping tools. The second part is actually identifying the root of the trauma, identifying where that's coming from, from, and fully process that. And there are different tools to do that. There are different therapy modalities. There's a lot of different ways to actually go and do that. But the 2 components of processing are a release of emotion, of the traumatic emotion, and then 2, a logical change of the belief. That's the emotional and logical pathways that need to be followed to actually process a trauma. But if you want to learn more in-depth tools that I can't explain over a video short, make sure to subscribe, and I hope this helps.
