How do you stop emotional flashbacks from PTSD? Now, there's 2 steps that you need to follow if you want to get rid of them forever. Step 1 is to learn coping skills. Now, coping skills are not everything. They help you manage and they help you deal with your symptoms and bring them down to a manageable level. They do not get rid of your symptoms. These are things like deep breathing, the butterfly hug, visualization techniques. The second step is to learn processing tools. And basically what a processing tool is, is it takes the trauma or the emotional flashback, in this case the symptom, And it traces it back to the root. So you identify the root of where the symptom's coming from. You're not just dealing with the symptom. Coping tools only deal with the symptoms. Processing tools deal with the root. So you track your way down to the root of the problem and you fully process it by releasing the emotion around the trauma and to changing the core fundamental belief. That's the emotional journey and the logical journey that needs to be taken in order to heal any trauma that exists. And there's many tools that help you do that. And if you wanna learn those tools, make sure to subscribe. But I hope this was helpful.
