Brad Schipke argues PTSD requires about 300 hours of therapeutic processing, which takes 12 years in traditional therapy at 25 hours yearly. He proposes doing 3-4 hours of independent trauma work daily to compress that into 8 weeks, emphasizing the quality of processing matters more than time spent.

How can you compress 12 years of trauma healing down into 2 months? Well, it's just simple math. The average person with PTSD or CPTSD will heal in 300 hours or less. And if you're going to traditional therapy, that's about 25 hours per year, which would take you about 12 years to put in 300 hours. But if you learn how to independently process your trauma on your own, you could do 3 or 4 hours of processing every single day. And if you did that for 8 weeks, you would hit 300 hours. That's how you can fit 12 years of processing down into 2 months, and you can truly compress amount of time it takes for you to heal. But the key is quality time, not just quantity. You want to pick one trauma, chunk it down into the emotions and beliefs, and process it into completion.
