Chapters
I had childhood trauma that rolled into drug and alcohol addiction. I'm almost 60. I've been in treatment since I was 19 years old. I was told by professionals that my PTSD was too complicated for them to treat, that I was only going to get worse. I was never going to get better. I was down on my knees, and I was begging God for help. The next morning, Kayleen was in my newsfeed. She was talking about clinically sound modalities, and she said I was going to get better. I just, I still stumble over that because it was just stunning to me that people recover from PTSD. I didn't know that that was possible. Fast forward, I sleep without nightmares. I'm crashing through beliefs that kept me sick for years. And the best part about it is that I'm starting to get off my psychiatric medications. That blows my mind. You're never too old to get better. Your trauma's not too big. You can get better. I'm heading into the last stretch of my life. I'm just looking forward to it. It's looking up. You're worth it. You can get better.
