Is PTSD the reason why I have so many physical symptoms? Answer is probably, because trauma lives in the body. When your nervous system stays stuck in fight or flight, stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline flood your system nonstop, and that can cause chronic pain, stomach problems, digestive issues, fatigue, muscle tension, and even autoimmune issues. So it's not all in your head, it's also in your body. But when you heal the trauma at the root, your nervous system stops sending those stress signals and your body can finally heal and relax. And that's why physical healing often follows emotional healing. You can't separate the two.
