So how long does PTSD last? PTSD does not have to last forever, but it can if you're not properly healing it or not addressing the root cause of your trauma. If it's untreated, it can last forever. And there's a lot of people that go their entire lives struggling with PTSD because they're not taught how to actually process the trauma at the root. There are 2 things that determine how long PTSD lasts. The first one is the intensity and the number of traumas you've experienced. And the second thing is the amount of time you are putting in actually processing the trauma, not coping, not managing, but using processing tools that address the root cause of the trauma. So I've had clients who heal in 30 days, and I've also seen people who have gone decades and decades and haven't made any progress at all. So it really depends on your approach.
