Brad Schipke argues that trauma isn't rare or abnormal, but how your body stores the overwhelming experience. PTSD happens to everyone, full healing is possible, and he shares his own experience to prove it.
Trauma isn't rare. It is universal. We all go through things that overwhelm our ability to cope with life. The difference is whether or not our body processes it or stores it. That's really what determines PTSD. It's not necessarily the event, but how our body has processed that event. So if you have PTSD, you're definitely not alone and you're not strange. You're not weird for struggling with these things. So many people have it. I had it, and healing is 100% possible.
