If you've been traumatized, you probably have a pretty bad relationship with your emotions, meaning you have a bad relationship with yourself. Your negative emotions are not your enemy. They are there to help you. They are there as your alarm system telling you that there's something wrong and they need your help. So if you can start seeing your negative emotions as different hurt parts of yourself, and you can start approaching them with love and wanting to help them and wanting to care for them and wanting to give them what they need and help them heal, then they will stop being your enemy and they'll start being your ally. They're always trying to protect you from a pain that you went through in your past. So the more that you can see this, that every part of you has a positive intent and is trying to help you, even if it's going about it in the wrong way, then it'll be much easier to love it, to help it, and to heal it. So stop seeing your emotions as enemies and start seeing them as a part of you that's trying to help you and a part of you that's just been hurt and is in need of love and healing. And if you want to learn how to do that and the exact techniques to actually process your trauma, join my school community. It's in my bio. You can get a free trial.
