What's happening, party people? It's Brad. I'm coming in from Vigo, Spain. I'm testing out my new camera. I just want to see what this baby looks like. So I gotta get used to looking into the screen and the actual lens so I can actually look at you guys instead of looking up at this thing because otherwise I look cross eyed. But yeah, I'm here in Vigo, Spain. It's a beautiful day. This is the very first of my live vlogs. So get excited, folks. You're seeing more of this coming up soon. Here with our lovely friends, Senor Laurent Russo and his lovely wife and two children. One kid is actually in Bangor, Maine, with actually my mom and stepdad are there right now, which is kind of crazy. So he's doing like an exchange thing. And yeah, I just did a bunch of work and now it's Friday night and I'm gonna relax for a bit, get some dinner, head out, see Viggo, see the town, enjoy it. We went to a beach earlier, made another video. You check it out on Facebook. Ultimately, this is going to be a V log about the things that happen in my life besides work, though. So stick around for that. It's going to be super fun. Take care. So the rig I'm using is a Gorillapod. Got a Sandisk tripod. We got a G7 PowerShot canon kind of playing around with the different pieces right now. Got an extra battery, ready to rock, ready to record, ready to live stream. What's. Not too shabby? O. We should.
Tell my wife to do it because you will need it. But we have time tomorrow.
Okay, no worries. Yeah, I'll throw it in and then we dry whenever.
But put it on the bag.
Okay. You got it close to you.
Want to swim before to go or tonight?
Nah, I'm good. I'm good. Yeah. Yeah.
Hey, puppy.
Hi. Hi. Yeah. Excuse me. Excuse me, bud. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're excited. I know. Hi, puppy. Yeah. Hi, buddy. Hi. Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Little puppy love. Yeah. Okay, so we're gonna hit the sunset. I love this camera, by the way. It's really n. Yes.
Yeah. The only thing is that you can't plug.
Microphone. Yeah, I was looking at that. I thought there was a microphone plug, but it doesn't look like there is. There's a couple of like, auxiliary jacks here. Maybe the microphone would go in there. See these little guys? Micro usb. Yeah, they're not for microphones, typically. Right. I have a nice microphone. It's like a.
What do you call the only thing is that you can put the microphone after you, like, if you.
Right, well, yeah, you get a higher quality camera. Sure. You know, if you really want to go crazy, you could get like a high quality camera and then like a DSLR and put a, you know, a real, like, microphone on the top. But for now, I mean, it's fine. I just want to get. I want to get the habit down more of anything. So, like, I've been following this guy named Casey Neistat. I'm Casey. A shout out right now. So Casey is actually a guy that makes daily video logs of his life.
Yes.
And he does it in New York City, where he lives. He's got a company called Beme that's like a social media platform.
Beam Beme.
B E M E like Beame. So it's like, it's a really cool little social media deal. And Casey's whole thing is he's a filmmaker, right? He's a storyteller. So every day of his life, Monday through Friday, he makes a video of his life, right? And sometimes on weekends, but mostly just the week, right? Or at least five or six a week. And then they're like eight to 10 minutes. He edits them down at the end of the day and he puts them on YouTube now, no big deal, right? Well, actually, he's got three and a half million views. People subscribe to his YouTube channel that watches vlogs every single day. It's kind of impressive, you know, like, so I'm starting to think about it. I'm like, you know, I've been wanting to take more, you know, videos of my trip. I'm driving around Europe. I'm doing cool, meeting amazing people, and every once in a while I have a halfway coherent thought that runs through my head. So why not make a, you know, a few vlogs and I can edit them down at my leisure and put them up on the. On the. On the YouTube Saint New York. But it'll do just fine. You got some wisdom for the crowd? What do you mean, like wisdom? Like some. Some wise words to share. Ah, yes.
I think that, you know, I am thinking about the event that we just get in Nice in France. Very bad events. And we always can look at the bad stuff or we look at what is nice. And today is a very bad day for a lot of people in France because we have lost 84 people and 10 children, which is horrible.
Terrific.
And there is no word for this, but at the same time, we have to live this moment with this. How do you say sunset. Sunset.
He called it a sun nap earlier. Yeah. I mean, ultimately, we live in a world of 7 billion people. Something's gonna happen to some of them at some point. And including us. I mean, nothing's guaranteed, Right? All you can do is be grateful for today. All right, that's it. Let's grab some dinner.
I'm there.
Now, that's the other one. I showed you the. Yes. What do you call it?
What did you call this?
I think that's WI Fi.
Yes.
I guess. I think that helps you connect to the WI Fi or to your phone. So, theoretically, I can use, like, a hotspot with my phone. No. L. No. Okay. Say that out. Yeah. Yeah. Please, Sam.
I will stay. Because I will. I know me. I will lost it. I think my sunglasses will not be very easy.
Yeah, we'll put the sunglasses back in the car. It's not a bad idea, actually.
Incredible. All the Spanish people we. The young people that they don't have any location to be together. Most of the time are in the cars.
Yeah, I've seen that. They make love in their cars or in the parks. I've seen that too. It's like, don't you have a home?
No.
Wait. You live with your parents because you're 30 and you don't have a job. This is great, right? We'll capture the moment. This is the last known footage of Brad and Laurel. Sam. And it's. What time is it? It's gelato time. That's what's up. What kind are you gonna get? Mango. Mango. I like mango sorbetta. I like it.
So what do you want?
Yeah. Chocolate Nero. There. One thing.
More cone and cook those.
The chocolate. What do you want? Uncoup. A cup. Okay. One bowl or two? Bowl. Two.
Two?
Yeah.
You want to save her?
I see.
Only chocolate or solo chocolate.
Okay. O. See? You see? Oh, yeah. Perfecto. Ball down. Ball down.
I will take just one of chocolate.
Okay. Ah, Cook. Yes. One more. Yes. Okay. Thank you.
I am more than full.
Sam.
