Mission, Making the best of travel delays, and meeting a new friend!

A short Brad Hart YouTube vlog (2017) where he describes traveling to Los Angeles to attend Peter Diamandis' Abundance360 via a friend's streaming package after tickets sold out. He explains investing in coaching (mentions coach Thomas Blackwell and top salesperson Eli), reflects on learning to improve speaking and selling from stage, and recounts a striking personal metaphor/story about "feathers, bricks and trucks." The tone is conversational, reflective, and entrepreneurially focused on growth and storytelling.

Sam. Today I'm heading out to LA to get settled in to attend Abundance360. It should be a lot of fun. It's Peter Diamandis event. They hold it once a year. I'm attending not with a ticket because I couldn't get one. I tried, they were $12,500 and they sold out about eight months ago. But what I did was I have a friend who's going and he has a streaming package and I got a hotel room at the hotel which is pretty nice and we're gonna share a hotel room and he's gonna give me a streaming package. I'm gonna hang out in the lobby and watch it, kiss the baby, shake the hands, meet all the people. Right now my hair is horrible and it's really, really early in the morning. But that's the life of a traveling entrepreneur. Why have the Stephen Colossian just finished up a great session with the inimitable. My name is Thomas Blackwell. He's the head sales guy for Infegansoft. Travels all over the world speaking on their behalf and I hired him as a coach to kind of get a sense of how I can improve as a speaker. Both to be inspirational on stage and spread the message of make more models which is one of abundance and expanded capacity for individuals and human race. But also how to sell from stage right because that's a capacity win developed properly is an incredible capacity. I mean he closes 30% of the room consistently no matter where he goes for a very high priced product resulting in millions and millions of sales every year. And then I have other friends who sell lower ticket items but they just close like you wouldn't even believe. 75, 80, 85, 90% of the room. My one friend Eli is Tony Robbins top salesperson. He sells between 5 and 10% of the tickets at every UPW event. We're talking like hundreds and hundreds if not thousands of tickets he's grown into. It's just an incredible thing. He's consistently ranked as one of the top performers in the company and you know he gets all kinds of awards not just from, from the management but from also his peers. He's just a real stand up guy. So you know, those are the qualities that I want to continue to, to grow and to nurture. So that's why I invest in coaching and I feel like if you're going to be a coach you need to hire coaches. So I have coaches in all areas of my life and some of them are pretty well known, some of them are, you know, Interesting and interested in different fields and things I want to master. But I feel like it's the best investment you can make is, like, if you want to go, you know, spend 10,000 hours mastering something, do that. But that's 10,000 hours of your life you're never going to get back. And you might be able to master that same skill in a few hundred hours. 1:30. So I got an hour. It's gonna be fun. Denver, What time is it? It's taco time, so. Hi, Tyra. Say hello to the folks. So I was telling Tyra a really great story. I wanted to just take a moment to. To capture on video, because I think I' But I haven't captured it for the show yet. It's about feathers, bricks and trucks. And I go, scotty, I say, listen, yesterday, it was so powerful. I had an experience where he told me about this metaphor and the bricks and the feathers and the trucks. And then I got hit by a couple of bricks. He's like, yeah, it's a really powerful metaphor. I'm like, I don't think you understand. I actually literally got hit by a truck full of bricks. He's like, what do you mean? Like, this is just a story. I'm like, don't look at my knees. And I told him the whole story. He's like, that's the craziest thing I've ever heard. It's pretty wild. That was the moment when I realized I was like, I really need to get out of my head.
Yeah, right.
Because I would have never happened if I wasn't just kind of going through emotions.
Right.
If I wasn't in my stomach with my story. So.
And isn't that crazy that.
That.
I guess his words actually. I don't know if he spoke it into existence, but, like, that actually happened.
That was the lesson I needed at that exact moment. I've had other crazy experiences like that, but that one really stuck with me.
And it sunk in like that, that.
Hour, like, the same time crazy. I'm at Denver. We're going to lax. I've been delayed twice and about to go take my seat. So it.
