Sneaking Into The Private Beach

Brad Hart spends a day at Marco Island's private beach, using hotel access to change and store his things. He meal-batches, hydrates, coaches a client, and reads The Richest Man in Babylon between swimming in a thunderstorm and checking out his Rocketbook Wave notebook.

So there's a thunderstorm going on here in Naples, and it's crazy out. It's like we're right in the eye of the storm right now. I just want to show you this. It's like, check it out. Blue sky. Like, perfectly blue sky. And then evil, death and rain. It's like a nice light rain. We're actually in the middle of a storm right now. Craziness. Right where that cross is. Right where in the middle of the eye of this building, it. Hello? Hey, Brad. Hey, man. How's it going? Just grabbing some water. I'll be right with you. Sure. All right. Green drinks are good. Green drinks are great. I heard you're wandering around the world, which sounds awesome. Yeah, yeah, I'm a little. It's been a little crazy, to be honest, to take care of a few things. I got a house that's closing and trying to sell some stuff, and, yeah, it's just a bunch of stuff all happened at once. So I decided to come back to deal with it here in Naples. Oh, okay. I'm in la. Other ghosts. Oh, we got Miguel, too. Yeah, Miguel's coming in, too. Miguel. Two for the price of one consistently. Okay. This is, you know, the 80% that serves everybody or everybody in this bucket. Let's make a product. Let's productize that. Our good friend Delina is a top Tony Robbins coach. She's been with Tony for five years and served God, thousands of people at this. Gotten to work on a lot of great things and a lot of great people. We know who we are, we know what we can do, and we know what we suck at, you know, so we're always looking for, like, really service based, wonderful people to work with. You know, people that lead from the heart, people that give a. People that, you know, money's important, but it's not everything. And they like what they do, and we want to help them get their message out to the world, create the leverage that they can create. Okay, so today I am going to be going down to Marco Island. It's a Sunday. I got a bunch of work done this morning. Did a nice run. Got to coach one of my clients. He was going through a little bit of a crisis, but he's doing much better now. I love what I do, and I am heading out the door. I'm just making a little bit of a lunch. I'm going to go down to the beach. And one of the key things I learned is that if you want to stay healthy, you got to kind of plan ahead. You Know, you got to kind of like batch meals and things like that. So I make, you know, big batches of different things throughout the week and then I don't have to think about it as hard. Right. If I want to eat healthy, it's there. You know, with the exception of a few snacks and little treats, it's good to go. Okay, a couple last finishing touches. I never leave any place without my Nalgenes. I've got a red and a blue one because I like the Matrix. Don't judge me. Alright. But yeah, it's really important to have water wherever you go. Okay. Going down to the beach on Marco Island. Marco island has some of the best beaches in Florida, but most of them have giant hotels on them. So I'm gonna go to one of the giant hotels where I can change, relax, go down to the beach. I have like a little bit of a home base and yeah, that's what I'm gonna do. But I brought nice clothes so that I could walk into the hotels and nobody would really give me shit about it. I brought a packed lunch so I don't have to pay $50 for a lunch that obviously isn't on my diet. So yeah, nice easy day down at the beach. Gonna get a haircut, go shopping later, and then I'm home. Time to call an Uber. Hello. How you doing, Brad? I'm well, how are you? Very good. Heading down to Marco Island. Marco, what are you doing down there? I hit the be. Yeah, Everything's been dicky dory since. Dicky Dory, huh? Yeah. Is that like hunky dory? Is that same way? Same way. So all of it's Laylee. Yeah. And then this particular part is olay. Got it. Sa. Welcome to marco island. So I can buy some. Spend no more than 20 minutes in the sun because I have to do quick. It's one o' clock now. Let's see if I can do it. All right, the hat is back and it is beautiful day here on Marco Island. Just taking a look. Okay, all changed and cleaned up. Time to find a nice quiet place to do some work. Little reading, a little note taking. Beautiful Sunday. Now I'm ahead and get a haircut. Okay, awesome. Book of the day today got two today got the richest man in Babylon, which I've read before. I'm going to read again. And Mindset by Carol Dweck. This is where Todd Herman, I believe got the owl versus wow brain. So I wanted to go back and play around it. But essentially it talks about the difference between a Fixed mindset and a growth mindset, and how one causes pain and one causes pleasure and one propels you towards your goals and one keeps you from your goals and all that good stuff. But for today, I'm gonna read this lovely chapter. Grab my rocketbook. If you guys don't know what a rocketbook is, this is the rocketbook Wave. It was on Kickstarter a little while back. It's a really great notebook. Essentially, you can write in these. Friction is erasable, so you can write and erase, which is pretty nice. Actually works pretty well. This is old, just like a pencil, but the eraser doesn't wear down. It's pretty cool. This is where I take my notes and then I can scan them right up into the cloud like Evernote using the Scannable app. I'll link all that below. All great stuff. I also use my iPad to take notes. Depends whether I want it front and center or not. I really like a physical notebook for things like journaling, gratitude, that kind of stuff. And then I really like to have all my notes from my client meetings and just meetings in general, coaching calls, etc. And in my iPad. With the right person and the right date, I can just call them up whenever I need to and get caught up very quickly before I move. Got a good couple hours of work in. Did a bunch of reading. Nice. Sunday. Heading back to get a haircut and do some shopping and head home. Got an Uber here, but I managed to only get one that canceled right away. Going back. Nobody wants to come out to Marco, apparently. So I'll get a cab back. Not a big deal. Let's get to know. All right, we got a cab coming. Should we do any map? Which is kind of a very large area. Yeah, so I'm going to. So these storms are because El Nino broke up. They used to come from the west over the Gulf into the. Yes. Yeah. Now they're coming in from. Not over Marco, but, you know, Okeechobee Atlantic. Right. Yeah. And then they come all the way across. You know, they're dumping rain, but then they re soak when they hit Lake Okeechobee or rehydrate and they continue.
