Good morning, y'. All. I have a short video today on how to get the information you want on YouTube without having to actually watch YouTube videos. So here's what we're going to do. First, we're going to go ahead and grab the URL. We're going to go over and paste it into our little terminal here, specifically using a tool. And you can use Claudette code or any of these to help you to format this. But essentially what we're going to be doing is downloading. If you don't already have Homebrew installed on your computer, I have all this written out for you. And then you're going to install YouTube download tool here, which is YT DLP. So homebrew gives you the dependencies. This is the actual tool and then this is the actual command. So I'm going to take this command, I'm going to put it in with this. You know what slows me down more? You know what slows me down more than anything is having to watch YouTube videos. All right, so we go back here. Cool. I'm just gonna pop that in there and I'm just going to replace video URL bracket with the actual video URL. I'm going to grab that and put it into terminal here. I'll make it big so you can see it. And then I'm just going to navigate to the desktop. Should work. Cool. And then I'm just going to do that. So now it's going to go ahead and extract the URL, download the webpage, do all the things it's going to debug. It's going to figure it out, it's going to sleep. It's a honey badger. It doesn't give a shit. It's going to figure it out. All right, now it's downloading. What the fuck is happening here? Installed. Provide the path. This literally worked. Just a second. So it should have worked. Let's see if it came back. Oh, yeah, we're good. Okay, cool. So now you can go over to the Optimus transcriber tool. You literally just grab this from Marvels Link Transcribe. It's a little HTML file. Lives on your desktop or in your browser. There's a setup guide here, but you basically do this. Pull it onto your desktop, open it up, double click it and it'll show up like this. And you go and grab your Deepgram API key. They give you 200 free credits. That's enough to transcribe free 30 minute conversations. I would say about 1300 of them. So you're good to go. And they're just going to literally grab this guy and we're good to go. All right. And that was the original one, so it didn't actually fail. That was on me. I thought there was a failure. And it's going to go ahead and transcribe that for you and then you can pop it into the AI that you like. Bada bing. Copy. Bada boom. Going to go over here. Okay, cool. Let's start a new chat. Hey, hey. Can you extract the key learnings from this video and make me a summary and let me know what you think I should be learning about next transcripts. Boom. Gotta turn off voice mode there. Got rid of that. Bam. Okay, let's go. And just like that, I saved myself. Having to watch a YouTube video. Pretty fun. Now I get to learn about multi buffer. So what does this mean? So you can basically get after it for your use case. You can download the transcripts for all your videos, pop them all to your favorite AI and get the transcript summaries without ever having to watch YouTube again.
